I am going to have an informal wedding so not getting any over the top dresses. I was looking online for fun and already found one I like. The wedding is in Sep 2011. Is it too early to buy one now?! I’ll probably regret later?

I don’t think its too soon. You want to make sure you have at least 6 months in orer to allow it to be made, have time for alterations, etc.

it’s not too soon at all! unless you’re the kind of bride that knows she won’t be able to stop dress shopping once you buy one;) i bought mine at the end of the summer for my oct 1, ’11 wedding. we went to the filene’s sale, got a great deal on a beautiful dress & was able to take it home with me. i enjoyed being able to try on whatever i wanted, for as long as i wanted- & take pictures! the earlier you start the more leisurely you can shop, you don’t want to have a time crunch & settle for a dress you don’t like. happy shopping!

It’s not too soon! I bought and have my dress in my closet already and my wedding isn’t until November 12, 2011 but I’m not the kind of person to change my mind.

I agree that it is not too soon!
I would recommend trying on many dresses in many styles before purchasing one. That way you will be absolutly sure that you love your dress. You won’t have to second guess yourself because you know that the other dresses were not as good as the one you purchased.

No it’s not too soon! My wedding is June or July of 2012 and I already bought my dress. They said it’ll take around 6 months to come in then with alterations….and depending on how many fittings I will need to have…I guess if you love it and it’s “the one,” you might as well get it!!! 🙂 The day I found my dres I wasn’t even thinking I was going to buy “THE dress,” I thought I was just going to look AGAIN. So, if you think you’ve found it you should order it soon because your wedding is going to be here before you know it!!!
