My seamstress told me that unless you plan on losing weight up until the wedding, it is best for a final fitting to be done between 1 and 2 months before the wedding. She told me it's best not to wait until closer, so that the bride has peace of mind and so the seamstress isn't pushed up close against a deadline. My final fitting is scheduled for a month before.

i feel like my seamstress is messing with me. today i had my first fitting and my seamstress from the store was super rude throughout the fitting, i kept mentioning how loose certain places were and she kept blowing it off. then when i was asking about scheduling my next fittings she told me that my final fitting should be 6-8 weeks before my wedding and then they'll just steam my dress before the wedding?!
everywhere i've looked says it should be a couple weeks before the wedding....this lady also mentioned that she's not available on the weekends because it's "soccer season". do you think she's trying to up my fitting time so it doesn't conflict with her kids' soccer games or am i over-reacting?
of course, i had to pay today for the fitting so no matter what, she's doing my dress so i was just wondering what to think
