I’d send Dec. 1. That gives two months!

General rule of thumb is 6-10 weeks before the wedding date. If guests have to travel a lot (ex: destination wedding), earlier is fine. As for the Christmas clutter – won’t it be mostly alleviated by then?

You should send them 6-8 weeks before the wedding so if you send at the beginning of December you should be fine.

MrsYellowDaffodil:  I totally messed up the calculations since I was going off the RSCP date!  Well since the RSVP date is the beginning of February, I’d go ahead and send them towards the beginning of Decmeber.  It’s a bit early but people will understand that it’s because of the holiday card craziness.

MrsYellowDaffodil:  Did you send STDs? That could also factor into it. If you sent them, it would probably be okay to send them around Jan. 1 too.

My wedding is a week before yours on the 15th and I’m struggling with this as well. I was thinking around the first of December?

MrsYellowDaffodil:  I can’t really help much but we are kinda having the same issue. We are afraid that since our wedding is in the prime time of summer many people will be traveling.

We were thinking the beginning of April probably??
