Per the etiquette books, invites are always sent out at 6-8 weeks before your wedding date with replies due back 3-4 weeks before.
I read somewhere that invitations should be sent out three months before. I'm getting married May 22 and I just started working on the wording and layout of mine today.
My mom is saying just 6 weeks prior to the wedding especially since we sent out STDs. We are asking for the response three weeks prior.

Wedding is July 17, 2010.
We just sent out our Save the Dates this morning (jan 1st) via email.
When should our invitations go out? I was thinking middle to end of April?
