When to give gifts

posted 5 months ago in Beehive

I've finally got gifts for everyone (parents, bridesmaids, groomsmen, etc).

But now I'm at a loss as to WHEN to give them to them.  At my brother's rehearsal dinner they gave out gifts.  Is this normal or should I wait until the day of the wedding?

I've seen both. I was a bridesmaid that recieved my gift when we were all getting ready the day of. Then I was in another wedding when I recieved the gift at the rehearsal dinner beforehand, actually the majority of the weddings I've been in, I've gotten the gift at the rehearsal dinner. For my wedding, we're going to write a little something about each groomsmen and bridesmaid and then have them come up and get it, sort of like a dedication. That was my favorite way of getting my gift.

I've always been gifted at the grooms dinner. But I think this is totally up to you. Grooms dinner might be easy as they will all be togherer and I know that I woulnd't want to do itday of, because lets face it we'll be busy enough.
