As in my other post...I asked everyone about dress shopping and who to bring and what to do. So now I have a question about when I should make the appointment to try on dresses in April. I have already set a date when I want to go shopping because I work on Saturdays and had to request a day off! So I want to make sure I can go into the stores on this day...how early in advance can I make the appointment?

    Thank you....Happy New Year!

ASAP...it doesn't matter how early you make the appointment. It's better to be safe than sorry. Do you know what shops you are going to?

I'm going to go to a shop that carries Alfred Angelo and a few other designers. Maybe David's Bridal...not sure yet. Thanks!

Depends on the shop, sometimes you can came it weeks or months in advance. I would go ahead and try to make the appointments though. Especially if its a busy shop, the appointments will be in high demand.

If you work on Saturdays maybe you have a day off during the week? If so, I'd go then since it won't be as crowded. (Or go in the evening.)If you go to a place like David's with an appt on a Saturday it's going to be crowded and chaotic no matter what. But I've been to places on Saturdays and it can be ok. Just make the appt for when they first open that day!

I'd plan on at least a couple of different ventures to look for dresses...

It depends on where you go, but the sooner the better.  If you have a specific time you would like the go you should make the appointment sooner rather than later because it never hurts to be prepared.

Thanks everyone! yeah im making it on a Saturday too so that my MOH can go too...she lives 2 hours away from me so I need to make sure she can make the trip if she'd like to and if she can...being she is taking classes and being a full time mother and wife! I will check with her about the time and day and check with my mom as well and then start calling to make an appt.
