When to move?

I’m with your FI on this one. Why spend the money on a bigger place until you actually need a bigger place? People move while pregnant all the time. Take the money that you would be spending on more expensive rent and set some aside for professional movers when you finally do need to move because you are expecting.

Can you maybe compromise and agree that you will definitely start house hunting with a view to move in march, regardless of the outcome of TTC? 

That way you’ll be maximum 6 months pregnant which means you can delegate alllll the lifting and heavy duty cleaning PLUS I think it’s also hedging your bets for TTC, but that could just be me…

Also can you store your boxed wedding gifts elsewhere, with one of your parents or something?

I agree with your fiance – no point moving before you have to. But there should also be an agreement that he does most of the physical lifting if you are pregnant.
