So, we’re going to a wedding in mid-May. They have a honeymoon registry, and my brain is on a creativity low. So I figured it would be nice to get something from their honeymoon registry.
Though I was thinking…usually when you buy an item you give it at the wedding. But since the honeymoon is funds going to the couple, it would either get there before or after the wedding (or if I was strategic, the day of).
So, when’s the best time to get something? Does it matter?

Many people actually send gifts before the wedding to the house so that the couple doesn’t have to transport gifts etc. So don’t at all worry about giving a gift beforehand.
In fact, it would probably be a lot less stress for the couple the sooner you do it as then they can see what they’ll be able to do on their honeymoon rather than thinking that no one is going to gift them anything.

I would just do it now and bring a card to the wedding 🙂

it’s not the norm in my area to bring gifts to the wedding. most people send them when they send in their rsvp cards.

i did a honeymoon registry and i DEFINITELY recommend purchasing the gift in advance. since my HM registry was just money, i had to coordinate separately the actitives in advance. so it was super nice that people bought stuff in advance. now that the wedding and honeymoon are over, i will close my HM registry.
