So, it’s been a while since I’ve been pregnant (6 years) and found out at the doctors. I just got a BFP but AF isn’t due until tomorrow. Should I wait couple weeks to make a doctors appointment, go to a primary care doctor or an OB and what’s been the general outline of appointments? I’m only concerned because of a recent diagnosis that complicates pregnancies and puts me at high risk
any ideas or help would be appreciated, thank you 🙂

I would call your Gyno and find out when they think you should come in. They need to know your history to tell you what is best.

I called my doctor as soon as I found out and they ended up scheduling my first appointment when I would be 8 weeks. So maybe just call your doctor to get your first pick of appointment times!

@Mrslovebug: I would call on Monday & mention your diagnosis. They may want to see you earlier than usual or have you see the MFM.

I would call right away. If they say wait a couple of weeks, you can still make the appointment now. Usually they will see you the week after your missed period to confirm. After that you follow a schedule.
My doctor said they want to see me every 4 weeks until 28 weeks. Then it is every 2 weeks until 36 weeks. Then it is every week.

They will schedule you according to when they think they need to. I would call right away–get in the books early!
