I think it's too soon. People will get it and then either not respond or respond and then forget.
Too soon. I'd send them out mid to late May.
My wedding is July 17th - across the country- and I'm sending them out near the end of April. We sent out save the dates but I still want everyone to have time to plan the trip.
I'd look at your guest list and see who's far away...and send them at the end of April. Local can be 6-8 weeks.

Did you send STDs? If so, it's definitely too soon, even for the far away. My wedding is July 9 and I'm aiming to put them in the mail around May 1. I went back 1 month for the RSVP (June 10) and then another month for the arrival (May 10). So, send yours around the end of May.

Okay so I read that you're suppose to send out the invites 6-8 weeks before the wedding. That seems way to close to the date, is it not? My wedding is on July 31st and I'm thinking of sending them out mid April. Is that way too soon?
