My invitations are stuffed, addressed, and stamped for my October 13th wedding. The venue is only an hr away from our house but my famliy will be traveling from Minnesota and his will be driving at least 6 hours so I consider it a semi-destination wedding. I’ve already sent out Save the Dates a little while back so they know of the date. I was thinking of sending them at 10 weeks out (our RSVP date is September 1st) but people are already asking me what time it’s at and are reserving their hotels so maybe I should send them out sooner. What do you guys think? I don’t want it to get lost in the hustle and bustle of life until then, but I don’t want them to go out too late if people are already making plans.
PS: As a side note, I’m reading that many bees got theirs back WITHOUT NAMES!!! I didn’t number mine or put a return address on any of them so hopefully this doesn’t come back to bite me in the butt!

I think it would be ok to send them out now! We sent ours the second weekend in May for our DW in early August.
Not sure if you have any Canadian guests or guests with Canadian families, but that’s the weekend of Thanksgiving here – so it might be a good idea to get it out sooner rather than later! Just in case you think you’ll have guest that might go for turkey instead of cake if you wait longer! 🙂

Haha nope! No Canadian guests. Northern Minnesotans but they don’t quite count. 😉
Thanks for the feedback!

@Equine_Breeder: So not only was I going to ask the same question tonight, but we’re also DATE TWINS who both live in Texas! Great minds think alike! 😉
I’m also having a “semi-destination wedding”. My reasoning is that fiance and I are both from New Jersey but we live in Texas and are having the wedding in Jersey. So most of our guests are from the area (New Jersey), but we do have quite a bit of people coming from Texas and a few other states around the country, probably about 30 guests or so. Very recently we’ve been asked about hotels and such as well, and since I worry about EVERYTHING, I decided I was going to label and stuff my envelopes tonight so the task would be accomplished. I then got anxious thinking about waiting a few days/weeks to mail them, but I ended up putting them in the mail tonight lol. I figured our 3 month mark is only a few days away, and this should appease all the out of town guests. I asked that everyone RSVP before September 13th, so this gives them plenty of time.
You also reminded me that I DIDN’T number mine or put return addresses on the RSVP envelopes either, so now I’m slightly worried that I’ll be getting RSVPs without names as well. And I won’t lie, assembling all of the invites took way longer than I thought lol. For the first time, I actually kind of wished I had a wedding planner tonight. 😉

@Saria213: Ha!! Wow! Ours is a Sunday wedding too, which is a little harder to find a date twin. This just means we’re on the right track 😉 My invitations took forever to do too. It was more involved than making all my DIY centerpieces even!
