When to send invites to the B list?

I have yet to send out my invitations... it'll be going out in July for our November (Thanksgiving weekend) wedding.

But anyway, when do you think I should request that RSVPs be sent back and especially, when should B list invites go out?

Here's my situation:

Invites go out in early July.
RSVP by October 1st
Wedding is November 30th

Would early October-ish give me ample time to send out those invites?

It's a bit of a mystery to me because I would like for the B-listers to get their invites ahead of time enough to make travel plans.

Soo.... how does it work?

just clicked on the link that angel provided and i realized that i had answered that one also! but we've changed our plans slightly:

a-list going out 12 weeks before

a-list responses back 6 weeks before (b-list going out as we get a-list declines)

remainder of b-list going out 6 weeks before

b-list responses back 2 weeks before (we have a separate RSVP card for b-listers)

we moved the timelines up when my mom reminded me that for my bat mitzvah, people didn't respond until the last minute, so we really needed to give b-listers enough time to respond so that they didn't realize that they were b-listers. these are long timelines, but it's summer and i figure people are on vaca and are thinking about other things.
