When is the proper time to send out invites?   I sent out save the dates 6 months ahead. I'm coming up on 8 weeks and have ALOT of people who will be traveling for this wedding (about 30 coming from New York to Oregon and lots more from other closer states).  Total wedding guest count will be around 250. I'm so excited I want to put them in the mail but I also don't want to over do it and go too early.  Thanks.  My wedding is June 5th....about 9 weeks and some days from today.

Usually you send invites between 6-8 weeks in advance.  I would get them in the mail soon so people can schedule their flights.

Hi we are date twins! I've sent out my STD's too. I think as soon as I get my invitations I will send them out. Have you thought of what date you need all of the RSVP's back?

BTW, I was a June bride last year and sent my invites out in early April.

Thanks!  I was thinking of sending them out around April 10th. That will offically be 8 weeks - if I can hold off that long :)

Hey Twin!  I asked for my RSVPs to be sent back by May 15th. That will give me 3 weeks before the wedding. I was told two weeks is norm, so I added an extra week due to the holiday at the end of May and allowed myself a week to follow up with those who didn't respond (I numbered the RSVP cards so I can tell who sent them back and who didn't)

I would definitely add extra time because you will probably have to track people down who don't RSVP on time!
