Hi bees, just wanted to get your opinions on when we should be sending out save the dates. About half of our guests live about a 2 hour drive away. Is 3 months before the wedding good enough? And if so, at which point are invites sent out?

I think save the dates would be good 4-6 months in advance (or a bit sooner/later depending on if there are any holiday/weather considerations) and invites about 2-3 months out (also depending on what your RSVP deadline is and then adding a week buffer for the late folks. I’m doing super early save the dates, but that’s a weather/long distance travel/long engagement thing 🙂

Good point. I was thinking about sending out invites a month before and save the dates 3 months before, but I didn’t think about the RSVPs. With that in mind, I think invites would be ideal if sent out about 2 months in advance and Save-The-Date Cards about 4 months prior to the wedding.
Guess that means we need to start finalizing our guest list if we’ll be sending out Save-The-Date Cards by last of January.
Now the stress is really starting to kick in!
