OOh kitzy – my first date twin I’ve seen!

We sent ours already (paperlesspost) because we don’t have any hotel blocks, so people need to book their rooms NOW. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t have bothered so soon.

Already sent them out – about a month ago. I’m normally not on the ball about things like that, but we are having a destination wedding in Charleston and not a single guest lives there, so we wanted people to be able to make vacation plans in advance.

I actually sent mine out in August – early I know, but we have lots of out of town guests and one guest had already booked a trip to europe for next summer (and then changed it to a couple days later once they found out our wedding date, which was so sweet of them) so i figured I should send them out before others make summer vacation plans.

Almost all my guests are locals, so advanced warning isn’t tooo pressing of an issue. I’m going to send them out in December or early January. (If I send them, lol) My formal invites will go out in March. =)

We’ve already received a STD for our friend’s wedding which is June 4th, but we probably won’t send ours out until after the first of the year.

As of today we are exactly 7 months out from the wedding, and the general rule (from what I always year) is 6-9 months if you are having a destination wedding, 4-6 months for a regular wedding (which is what we are having).

6 months for us is Christmas Eve, so we will be trying to print/address them by then, and then I will likely start to send them out just after Christmas/New Years Eve.

Our wedding is a few weeks after yours, but I think in both cases that skips all the holiday cards/craziness. If you haven’t sent them out already, I would wait.

We are mainly sending them out as early as we are because our wedding is on a Friday, and I want to let people know well enough in advance that they can get off work if needed.

@jaguar:Finally,I found my date twin!!! I had the same thought…I will be sending my STD’s out in February,so that Christmas cards and such dont overwhelm and then my STD gets lost in the pile and forgotten 🙂
