I’ll be anxious to hear the answers to this, too. What do you use to make the baby food? I’m trying to figure out what blender to buy for when that time comes. That’s great he is loving all the foods! 🙂

@mrskisstobe:  Did you put water or breast milk in it to puree it? We are about to start. How long does it last in the freezer?

Most people I know don’t puree table food. They just chop it it in bite sized pieces.

I skipped straight from pureed singles to chopped up bits of table food for my son. It was just easier & there is no real reason, IMO, to do pureed table foods beforehand, unless you want to. As long as your son has tried all the foods individually, and not had any problem with them, I don’t see any issue with introducing them mixed.

I don’t have kids yet but in my experience, I don’t think you should need to puree the table food, especially considering you basically are pureeing the table food already by making his food yourself. If he’s ready he can move on to little pieces of soft things I’d think. Just stay away from strawberries, nuts, grapes, and slippery stuff.

@mrskisstobe:  My co-worker just ordered the Ninja on QVC last week and was just telling me about it yesterday. She wants to use it to make baby food for her upcoming baby. I’m glad you like it!

IMHO as long as they have already tried it and it is not on the nono list then go ahead. DS is 7 mos and eats a mix of real and pureed but he has been eating solids since 4 months. He is also starting to self feed. He eats rice rusks and the gerber puffs. Soon I will be trying him on other things.  I do feed him the stage 2 fruits for the most part now. His veggies I freeze in ice cubes then store in a baggie. He is just learning meats, so we will see how he does with them. He has had ground beef but he only gets a little at a time or he has tendency to get too much in there at one time without swallowing. I would just keep watching as your baby eats and go at the level they need.

ETA: I use the regular Magic Bullet to puree his foods.
