- Wedding: June 2013
So I think I’ve decided to go back to school. With the program I’ve decided to persue, it looks like I will not be able to start until after the wedding – so fall of 2013. I was thinking I’d probably stop work right before the wedding and pick school back up in August. I know this is a long way off, but I’m starting to think about this in terms of my employment. I work at a VERY small family owned company. I am their only full time employee (only 2 other employees). I don’t do anything special, but they rely on me to run things when they need to go out of town or need to leave for the afternoon. Also in consideration is the fact that the business is in a VERY rural area. I worry they’ll have trouble finding someone local for the position. I’ve become pretty close with my boss and I’d hate to put them in a difficult spot. The good thing is that summer is our slow time – so if I leave around the time of our wedding it shouldn’t be too big a deal. I was thinking about giving them notice in March – is that wayyyy to early? This is my first job so I’m not sure at all, and I feel like I’m in a pretty unique situation with my employment situation so I’d love some opinions!
