(Closed) When to tell employer I'm leaving?

I was the only assistant to a Doctor who had an office in our town. I was in a similar position, as they became like family and we had mutual family and friends. I think its fine to give really early! I ended up moving away to finish college, and I gave like a years notice! It helped them to prepare and for me to train someone I liked for the job 🙂

Personally, I think March would be fine. IIRC, you work on a hog farm, right? I work in an office, and I know in the last year, we’ve had a couple people who worked in the field who both ended up relocating across the country when they (or their spouse) became pregnant. They both notified a couple months ahead of time.
