I am in the industy actually have taken many wax classes... and i really do recommend you getting a wax a a few times prior, def a good idea there. Alot of people myself included ... break out and have alot of irritation and discomfort Post waxing. I can not wax but certain areas bc my skin in so sensitive I break out in bumps and have an extreme amount of redness and inflamation post waxing for about 2 weeks.
See how your skin reacts to the wax... if you have a bad reaction you could try to go somewhere else that uses a different type of wax there are several different types ...
A good rule of thumb is to give it at least a months growth before getting rewaxed ... but some people require about 6 weeks.
I would say judge by your skins reaction/recovery & regrowth time... If it still looks good a week after i would go before your wedding

Getting married out of town and then honeymoon will be about 1 wk after we get back. I have never had a bikini wax, but after reading all these posts how people really love it and should do it for the wedding....I'm going to try it. I love my hair salon (an aveda salon/spa) and trust they'll do an excellent job. Wedding isn't until October so I plan on going at least 1 or 2 times before to get used to it and see how my skin/hair react.
So, I know my hair has to be so long before it can be waxed and am assuming it won't grow out enough b/w my wedding and honeymoon to have it done both times.
What do I do????
