that even your friends are impatiently waiting, you know he’s waited too long.
Seriously though, a guy friend has had the ring in his possesion for 7 months or so now and I am getting ansy. I can’t imagine how she (his girlfriend) feels. I secretly hope she doesn’t know, because even babies only really take 8 months of waiting (the first 4 before the BFP can’t really count).
JUST DO IT ALREADY.
Ahhh, I feel better now! Gosh, i really hope she doesn’t know.

LOL! I’m sure my friends felt like that, too. I got a lot of “about time!”‘s when they found out I was engaged hahaha 🙂 I guess that means you can start collecting bridal magazines for her though, right? 😉

Tell that guy to propose to her already!!!

7 Months? The only good thing abuot that is that most places won’t allow you to return a ring after the amount of time, so he’ll more than likely propose. . .eventually. . .

@PasteMoo: I agree 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7 Months is far too long to be hanging onto that ring. And honestly in my opinion, if he’s hanging on to it for that long then maybe he’s having second thoughts. Wouldn’t he be excited and want to ask right away?? Why buy the ring if he’s just going to wait almost another year?
I totally understand about the whole ‘even the friends are getting antsy’, because all of my friends (and his friends) are. In fact, they’re angry with J because he hasn’t done anything yet. And not a friendly ‘anger’ either… They’re PISSED at J. Even my brothers friends whom I don’t know all that well are angry with J and everytime an occasion comes and goes, they ask my brother if we’re engaged yet. It gets extremely embarassing after a while.

I think I’d be worried about how ready he is at this point.
My Fiance picked up my ring at the end of July and proposed on November 26. He had two elaborate proposals plan that didn’t come together (including one where the lead inger of a band from here was supposed to sing our song at a music festival…but I had to go on a business trip and didn’t o!). He said it was “burning a hole in his pocket” during those months.
Seven months is really strange.

@Mrs. Puffin:Hahah. It’s not exactly “about time” They are perfect for each other. I just hope she hasn’t known and been “waiting” this whole time. Ugh.
@misskittykakes:I can ask my hubby to… I think he already has. He just keeps waiting for perfect. He isn’t hesitant he just wants to make it way more awesome than need be.
@Jeannine @ Small Chic:It’s actually a very similar story to yours– he had a whole bunch of great plans but for various reasons they didn’t work out, so… now he’s trying to come up with some thing else really great.
