    Hey Bees!

I am getting nervous because the invites are ordered but we still have to call our caligrapher, get the caligraphy done and then send them...I feel behind :( I sent save-the-dates back in October but am scared since it is a somewhat destination wedding (Mackinac Island, northern Michigan so about a 5 hour drive or so for most guests).

I am still gonna have them sent in the next few weeks but...I'm getting nervous/stressed

So, when did you send your invites married bees? How did it work for you? engaged bees, when do you plan to send your invites? what is your reasoning?

anyone else scared like me?? :/

I am getting married the day before you in Michigan too!  I will probably be sending mine out in a week or so, but I am interested to see other people's timelines!

I plan on sending mine out exactly 3 months before my wedding. Our RSVP date is 6 weeks before the wedding (due to the venue), so I wanted to give everyone enough time.

    What is your RSVP date?

I just sent ours our on Saturday, so a little over 2 months out.  I chose 2 months in the poll, but I guess I should have chosen 2-3 months?  I'm a little nervous that I should have made the reply by date sooner, but too late now.  Thankfully we are planning a smallish wedding, so there shouldn't be too many people to track down.

We're sending out 3 months early and asking for RSVP one month later (because I can count on most ppl not bothering to RSVP and anticipate having to make a lot of calls).  It's a holiday weekend, so we want to give ppl plenty of notice, and right now we're limited on space so kids were the first thing to get cut.  Once we have a better idea of numbers, we can open up to a few more little guys.

I sent out my invites last Friday... so a little over 2 months prior to the wedding, and about 6 weeks from the RSVP due date (May 5).

Sulli301, you're my date twin (June 26!) I have a LOT of people traveling to the wedding too...since you sent Save the Dates, that really should help out of towners plan (I have friends who've already booked their flights even though the invites haven't gone out yet.

I'm sending my invitations out a little bit more than 2 months early - I'm shooting for April 15, and asking for RSVPs by May 15. I think it should work just fine.

I'm getting married in October and am planning on sending out our invitations at the end of July. We sent out Save the Dates earlier this month. We're having the wedding/reception where we live so for us and friends it's local, but most of the family is on the East Coast or in the Midwest. We also have a very popular date 10/10/10 so want to give people a heads up - a couple of friends have already told us they have another wedding that day.
