Hello Buzzing Bees!
I dont know if this would really be considered a “theme” but we are shooting for a relaxed, casual urban/city feel. Our venue is beautiful and modern with brick brick walls and hardwood floors.
My question is when you read the description of the event and what we are trying to achieve, what types and/or styles of food comes to mind?

It just reminds me of all of the “Brooklyn” weddings I see on style me pretty. They are all urban and hip and feature similar details.

CocoClassic: The first thing I’d think of based on your description is probably gastropub type food.

I think of heavy appetizers and champagne. Perhaps different stations so that people can pick and choose?

louisianablue: …Brooklyn weddings, interesting. I’m a native NY’er so it might make sense to look at that but the few times I’ve looked at that website the weddings featured are usually very over the top and we want the opposite of that.
housebee: I’m going to look into “gastropub” foods as I dont frequent bars or pubs but maybe I will find something we like.
plum_pudding: We were approached with the stations idea which I LOVE because we love street food. Initially we were seeking out food trucks to cater but couldnt figure out how to handle happy hour. One caterer came back with amazing suggestions and delicious sounding food selections so we are considering going with him for the whole event.
Thanks for responding ladies.

CocoClassic: tapas style servings, charcuterie boards, small portions of gastropub favourites, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and lots of cocktails.
