@divergirl: Fi and I are planning on moving to the west coast after our wedding so I do lots of research on our future city. I love research so wedding planning has been loads of fun but its nice to take a break from linens and centerpiece mock-ups!
Whenever I'm stressed or bummed at work, I look at photos from our wedding. Brings me so much peace and joy immediately. It's funny because at the time the photos were taken, my adrenaline was through the roof - hardly peaceful! So maybe that's a light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel type advice for those who are stressed about wedding planning.
@divergirl: Portland is at the top of our list. FI is a mac and iPhone developer and really needs to be somewhere where he can network. We've done lots of research on a number of cities out that way (Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, etc...) but so far it seems like Portland will be the best fit for us.
@UpstateCait: Portland is a goregous city! Very Green, lots of rain, I'm sure you knew that though! If I move..I'm totally heading up to Oregon and Washington. Oh be prepared to not pump your own gas... that's the only thing that bothers me about Oregon.
@divergirl: Ooh my dress makes me happy too -- even if I know other things aren't working out wedding-wise, I remind myself that I have my dream dress and it puts a smile on my face :)
Other than that, my fiance is always there for a good vent/cry session andddd chocolate tends to help ;)
@divergirl: REALLY?! I'm sold! I grew up outside of NYC where everything was full service. Then I moved to Upstate, NY and we had to pump our own gas. Not smelling like gasoline ever again is reason enough for us to move to Portland. As for the rain, yea thats kind of a bummer but ANYTHING is better than multiple feet of snow for 4 months out of the year.

I look at pictures of me and my dress!!! Discretely so FI doesn't see of course, but it makes me feel better everytime! What do you bees do???
