i'm having four showers...yes FOUR. our first one is in early november, the second in early december, the third is MLK weekend, and the fourth one is actually after the wedding so it's like a second reception/celebration shower/party thing.
this is what you get when your family and bridesmaids live all over the country and everyone wants to throw you a shower =p
the invites for the november one (its mostly family, which is why its so early) are going out this week..so crazy!!
I'm having mine in a couple weeks, which is super early for our Feb wedding, but I wanted to make sure my Grandmother would be able to attend. She lives in Florida in the winter months, and is leaving the second week of October, so we planned according to her schedule.
We're just having one and it is going to be the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It just works better with everyone being in town for the holiday.
We have the same wedding date!
better right after the holidays as opposed to right in the middle right?
i think midde of january is when i will do mine. im hoping for tons of lingerie! haha
I had one in October during Thanksgiving (my family hosted one in my hometown) and my local shower will be January 15th. I don't think people mind it being after the holidays, I think it's better than just before when everyone is busy.
I'm having two showers, the first is Jan. 23 and the other is Jan. 30. This is a hard time with it being right after the holidays...that's why I tried to push mine back a little.
I had a shower in November hosted by his side of the family, but my side of the family's shower is in two weeks. Yes, not even a month before the wedding... I know it's very late, and quite close to the wedding, but my grandma is from out of town and doesn't travel often so she asked that my shower be close to the wedding so she could be there. I have a feeling some of my guests will be giving me my wedding gifts then, but it doesn't bother me at all. I'm happy that they will be able to watch me open their gifts and that I get to thank them personally. Anyone been to (or having?) a shower that was close to the wedding?

Hello lovely February Brides! Our wedding is at the beginning of February. I feel bad having my bridal shower right after the holidays. When are you planning your shower?
