You can do anything you want.

I’d start by looking at intimate wedding photos. Go to the recaps threads on this board and look at other weddings to get a “feel” for what you like and you don’t.

Make a list of what matters to you and why. Make a list of what doesn’t matter to you and why. That way, you don’t wind up getting talked into anything down the line by a well meaning friend or a vendor.

I want what you want, but I do want to do the dances. In my town I found a historical home that has been turned into an antique store/wedding venue. I love it so much, and it’s small an intimate enough to have a small 30 to 50 people wedding. You can spend time right now trying to find your perfect place, because you do want to reserve it before it’s booked up.
