We're at 47 days now and I'm starting to get really excited! :)
Haha, I think a bunch of us just bit the dust. July was a busy month for Vancouver weddings!

Which venue is everyone using?
I'm using THe Metro in New West
@Mollytov: I've never heard of that place, and I thought I did a fairly thorough venue search last year. Is it new? Looks awesome! I can totally see a very urban chic wedding there.
It's been around for just over a year now but the building has been around forever! We are doing a dessert party from 8-2am.
Exciting times!
Where did you hold yours? I feel like i looked at every venue too!

We held ours at Minter Gardens in Chilliwack. It was like 34 degrees that day, but it looked gorgeous.

@engagedtosuperman: I love the roundhouse! I work right beside it. And interesting; We have decided to take our honeymoon in New York! Neither of us has been and it's a dream vacation for me.

@Mollytov: oh wow! thanks for the message! new york would be a very romantic honeymoon, good choice! im excited about roundhouse, though I wish I could find more photos of weddings there online... its so helpful!

Personally, i have attended a photoshoot there and then we headed off to a great Yaletown restaurant for the reception. It's lovely. January will be interesting tho! Ha!

Oh! I'm so happy I found this thread! I used to live in Vancouver, but we moved from there in 2006. My FI and I, now live in the Middle East but we are flying in to Vancouver to have our wedding! I'm really excited but it is sooo huge there, I don't know where to start with anything! I think we will only be there for about 5 days before the wedding. I will have to do every last minute thing while I'm there, including the dress alterations. 
My FI's parents are over the moon about having our wedding in a Church they love, in Richmond. So I think most of everything would be convenient there. Or anywhere close--at least, such as SW Marine Dr/Oak St, those areas close by. ANY and ALL advice or suggestions on where to go for ANYTHING, would be so lovely. I need a venue, florist, caterer, hair salon, hotel.. all of it. But I am open and grateful to ANYthing!

Great thread - I Love reading about everyones venues!! FI and I are holding our ceremony at a church downtown, and then having a dinner reception up at Grouse Mountain.
My friend got married there last summer and it was a beautiful wedding. It had a really nice relaxed atmosphere.
My brother was married at the top of Grouse. The view was great and they were able to get a lot of beautiful photos. Nice choice!

Hey ladies...my big day just passed it was July 24, 2010. I got married up at UBC!! Loved it. Photos were taken in Gastown and I had a MElissa Brooch Maggie dress!! My wedding was actually featured under REal Budgets on the weddingbee!!! :)
