Bees- 2012 is going to be MY OUR year!! I just know it!! January 1st im promising myself to eat better (obviously cant do it in December lol) I bought and I will start my P.I.N.K method workout! I used to do pilaties a few times a week. I am going to start that back up. I also got a new job that I will be starting in January, so a bunch of fresh new beginnings!! :)
I know that there are other brides out there, who are getting married in 2012, that need help with motivation for the year!! So lets help each other and have a freaking awesome 2012!!!

LOL, I keep promising myself this. Starting slow by at least doing 15 min of yoga a day...I'm thinking I should buy a video or something so I have a routine to follow so I can do a real workout. I'm not actually trying to lose weight, I just really want to be in better shape so I have more stamina and energy for all the things I want to do on my honeymoon in July :)
Me! I ned to start taking better care of myself if I want to look the way I want for our Wedding/Honeymoon, so why not start now! :)
I keep trying to do this but then falling off the bandwagon with the holidays and such... it's so frustrating!
Oh yes, I began a decent workout schedule. And then life happened. Busy with work and moving, and now the Holidays... who trys to eat healthy during the holidays?!?! I cant!! lol.
So thats why Im prepping myself NOW!!
I dont so much want to loose a lot of weight. Just like bearlove : have more stamina, more energy, toned up, and I could stand to loose 10 - 15 lbs.
So starting in January Im going to weigh and measure myself. Im going to post about what excersice i do and my progress!! I suggest you ladies do the same!! I feel like if I make myself post about it, then I will want to do it to see my progress.
I used to be such a dedicated person, and I feel like that has fallen away. IM GETTING IT BACK!! 2011 seriously sucked so bad!! and Ill be damned if 2012 is the same!!!
I KNOW that you ladies have it in you, like me. And with help and motivation from each other, I can see this going well!!!
So get on it!! Start prepping yourself for 2012!!

I got on the get healthy train last year in Oct and I managed to lose 20 lbs... well I fell off this fall and I really need to get back on. So here is to the new year work out! Hopefully we can all look better and feel better for our up coming weddings!
I'll join! I'm going to make a work out schedule with pilates, zumba, running, and weights to tone those arms! No roll-over arm flab for my strapless sweetheart, thank you very much! We have a Y membership and I have been neglecting it these past months. After the New Year that's all going to change :)

For christmas last year, my mom gave FI and I a 2 year gym membership. Thank goodness for the 2 year part, bc this past year, i think I went a handful of times. Im just not really a GYM person. We just moved to a part of town also where its like EVERY person in the gym is already in great shape. So everyone is like great looking, and there are NO FAT PEOPLE!!! I dunno why, but I cant get inspired there, it just makes me feel bad. I feel like the people there are staring at my fat butt bouncing up and down on the stair master!!! lol.
i hate that gym!!! and im NOT about to drive 30 mins to another one! (the gym for the membership) So, once I GET into shape then I can go to that one. haha.
Count me in! I've already been working out, but I desperately need to change the foods I eat---i.e., I need to not ONLY eat carbs :P
I'm in! I've been doing the c25k, as well as pilates. And I JUUUUST got FI to start on the 30 day shred with me! He was actually really excited when it kicked his butt last night! He said it felt really good.
I am SO in though! I gotta fit into that sample size dress!
Ok, so I am a healthy eater already and try to maintain a health lifestyle so I am here to help you ladies get in shape for your big day. My wedding is Oct 2012 so I am also planning on staying focus and making sure I am beach ready for our honeymoon. best of luck ladies.

I've started by using the wiifit yoga for about an hour a day in december but eating whatever. I was kind of doing it to get more of a start on toning and whatnot but I've lost one pound. lol. In Jan, I'm gonna start with the diet and incorpate my ea active which makes me break a sweat. I dont want to spend the money on a gym membership because I know I wont go. I tempted to buy the cardiobarre as I used to dance.
But as PP said I'm not looking for much to go away I'd be thrilled with 10-12lbs but elated with 5-8 too.
I'm also a huge idiot and picked the most unforgiving dress. Go me.
First ladies, becareful not to diet. If you diet you will gain all the weight back once you stop dieting. You need to be able to maintain a health lifestyle not diet. I know this sounds crazy but it really works. I've been the same size pretty much since High School (give or take those 5lbs I gain and lose during the year) because I don't diet I just maintain a better lifestyle.
Sub fries or mash potatoes for a side salad.
Set a cut off at night to stop eating.
Drink water more then anything (this will also help with your skin)
Stop eatng can foods and switch to frozen (to much sodium).
be mindful of the junk foods and try a yogart or veggies.
I maintain a very strick but managable eating lifestyle. It doesn't bother me but it does everyone else when they hear what I eat or don't eat. At the end of the day, I am fine with it and enjoy feeling good and looking good.
@cardnasac If i were getting close to dying (personally) id choose food over death! lol. But, I do need to change my lifestyle. and drinking WATER is huge for me!! Im trying really really hard!!! :)
EEK I have a lot less time than most of you but I'm definitely in! I think I'm going to start Insanity again. Did it this summer for a month and saw great results, but I fell off the wagon HARD and haven't started since. Is this 30 day shred as good/better than insanity does anyone know? Or does anyone have a better "whip into shape" workout plan? I only have until March 17th!
Me! I am joining the gym by my house with my BFF, and we are going to talk shit to each other to motivate ourselves lol
@MeganTacky2247: Lol, I would also choose food. I just don't eat red meat and pork (my chose) for over 18 years so this helps a great deal (naturally). I also don't eat much fried foods and carb. So I pretty much eat bake chicken and veggies almost every night and I love it. It doesn't bother me and I don't expect anyone to eat the way I do but this is my health lifestyle choice and it works for me. Please understand, I do treat myself often with pizza and wings but this is called a treat so I don't even want it everyday. I have will power and it works for me. Good luck ladies.
Samesies here! I've started working out, but my family came in today and I know we're going to be eating a lot... Totally not an excuse, but it'll be harder for me to convince myself to go downstairs and run... But we can all do this! Thanks for starting the thread. Looking forward to 2012!

I've been so bad over the last month or two, I actually gained weight back after loosing. So I am preparing January 1 to eat healthy and exercise more.. Especially since my wedding is in August.
So my DF and I bought a Treadmill so I will use that often. I am signing up for a boot camp class and yoga again. That's going to be my main exercises.
Also, I am looking at how to do the Weight Watchers points program.. Or doing my "lose it" online calorie counting. Either way I am going to cut down on sweets and junk food.. and definitely watching my portion sizes..
I want to loose 20 pounds by August. I wonder if it's doeable..

Haha, I've lost 20 lbs but have stopped losing weight- I'm thinking about stepping it up at the begining of the year. Actually I had lost 25 but holiday cookies are a weakness of mine...

I'm there with you ladies!!!! I have actaully already begun my workout routine about 3 weeks ago and lost abut 3 lbs. BUT ofcourse, went on vacation and well you know the rest!!! What i've found works really well and holds me accountable is logging everyday on my ihpone app called Lose it.. its free if you guys wanna try that.. You can friend people on there too so we can all be friends on there :)!!!!
My goal weight is 138 so i've got 16 lbs to loose. I was at 138 about 10 months ago ( i know scary how fast the weight comes on)

2011 was an AMAZING year for me, fitness-wise. December 2010, I decided I was done living an unhealthy, dangerous lifestyle and signed up for a YMCA membership. 2011 taught me so much about nutrition, food, exercise and my body. I lost 31 lb. total, though I'm hoping to maybe bump that number up a bit before 2012 starts :D
But what I'm trying to say is: I am SO THERE with you! My weight loss this past year was slow, but I want to kick it up a lot and get cracking. I want to buy a dress about a year from now, and I want it to be everything I've always dreamed of. My goal for 2012 is between 70-100 lb. lost!
I started this time last year around 292 and I am now 261. My aim is between 160-190 by this time next year. I hope to reach 130-140 by my wedding, but we shall see :) I figure, once I get to 160 I will let my body sort out how it wants to be. Right now I can just only fathom being under 200 after almost a decade over that number!
I am there too! I went dress shopping this weekend and all I can see in the pictures are my too-big arms. I do not want to look at wedding pictures and see those samee arms. That was definitely a motivator to do something different and I have to dedicate myself to working out and eating better next year. Great to have others who are working on the same goal.
@jocember AWESOME JOB!!! Keep it up!! Im glad to hear that you had such a good year. Hopefully you can kick 2012's butt too!!! :D
@LoveMySailor1018: I prefer Insanity. The workouts are much more intense, and I like that they're more varied. I'm in the middle of month two and love it. Month two is so freakin' hard, but I know it will feel like a great accomplishment once I finish it. That said, I don't think 30 Day Shred is bad; I just think Insanity is a better workout.
I'm in... after the New Year. I want to get in good shape for e-pics this summer/fall. I want to get rid of the pudgy little belly I have now.
@LoveMySailor1018: I haven't tried insanity but I HATED 30 day shred. jillian michaels made me want to throw things at my tv. I used to love the firm videos - the older ones, haven't tried any new ones in a few year.. the first couple of videos will kick your butt. just try to ignore the fashion going on there ;) also, loved cathe.
I need to get back on track.. had 2 knee surgeries this year and I want to get back to my pre-injury body.
I started 30 day shred two days ago with my FI and we are HURTING! I don't know how you're supposed to keep up after a few days. OUCH.

With Insanity, I heard that you bulk up a lot. Is that true, or do you just loose what you have and tone??
My FI just bought a total gym and I'm trying to use that once in a while. And also I am trying to start yoga and running. Definitely a must in Januaray. =]

@cardnasac: Really great advice! Too many diet and fail because once they lose x amount of weight they go back to whatever they were doing before. You have to completely revamp how you eat and exercise for life in order to maintain a healthy body :)

Oh yes, I'm in. I went to try on dresses to wear to the rehearsal dinner and I went up a size since I last tried on clothes! And I saw myself in a three-way mirror. Ugh. After Christmas.
