A friend of mine is interested in eloping, just her and her Fiance. She doesn’t want to get married in Vegas and also doesn’t want to get married in a courthouse.
Do any of you have other ideas that would be good for a one-on-one ceremony?

I don’t know what a one-on-one ceremony is, but I can tell you that Savannah, GA is apparently a great place to elope, and not the typical Vegas-type elopement. Some friends of mine did their whole wedding, just the two of them, at a B&B in Savannah – the B&B took care of the whole thing, including providing the officiant, lunch, and a cake. The pictures were amazing.

One-on-one means just bride/groom, no guests

Well the possibilities are endless! Eloping is not just for courthouses and Vegas, in fact they wre not even on my list when I was dreaming up locations.
I think where they pick should define who they are. Are they outdoorsy people (beach, ocean, mountains, country)? Do they love the city? Do they want to stay in the US? Are they willing to fly or do they want to stay more local?
We are mountain people so I really want to get married in the prescence of mountains – the grander the better. Then we’ll hire an officiant to marry us in some outdoor space – whether it’s a public space (somewhat seculded though) or on the law of whichever lodge we’ll stay at. Then we’ll go to a fancy dinner and have nice lodging. One could do this plan anywhere they please really.

My fiance and I wanted to do the exact same thing so we are eloping one on one, on the beach in fort lauderdale, florida For many reasons!! We are having a beautiful sunrise ceremony just him and I ilour Officiant and our photographer of course(-: What’s awesome about florida is that there is no waiting period. So you can litterly get your marriage license and get married the exact same day!! The second thing that is so awesome is that you do not need witnesses in florida so you can have your wedding one on one without having to ask a stranger to witness it if you have no guests!!.. hope this helps good luck to your friend!!(-:

South Lake Tahoe has a ton of those little chapels (like Vegas does). It would make for some beautiful pictures too!
