I am 43.  This is an encore wedding for me and my FI.  We both have kids.  We are having about 40 people, including kids and adults.  We are having a short ceremony in a church and a dinner reception at our favorite restaurant.  I am wearing a short ivory dress.  No veil.  Our only attendants are our kids.   My dress on a model:

I am using shades of purple for flowers and little girl dresses.  I love purple.

  • Wedding: May 2015 - Siesta Key Beach

I am 45. We have both been married before. Getting married 5/0/15 on the beach in Siesta Key, FL. Having only close family. About 20 people. I am wearing a Winnie Couture gown style 2101 in ivory (very beachy) and having coral and ivory flowers. No bridal party although my 18 yr old son will walk me down the isle.

It has always been my dream to have my wedding on the beach. I have never been more excited about anything. Cant wait!

My husband and I are both in our 40s and we;ve been married just over a year now. It was the first wedding for both of us. We were married at the glorious Wayfarer’s chapel http://www.wayfarerschapel.org/

and had our reception in the old one-room school house in the town we live in. The pics on their site are actually my wedding. 😉

We had about 100 guests. I think the thing that mainly differentiated our wedding from my little brother’s wedding (He’s 10 years younger than I am.) is that we did everything during the day time and it was all super relaxed. His reception was a drunken dance party into the wee hours. Ours was an afternoon catered BBQ with lots of kids and a super chill vibe.

Oh and I wore a more “grown-up” dress, the Maggie Sottero Elya. So many of the things I tried on just felt too young.

  • Wedding: November 2014

Prettysmile40:  older (experienced!) encore bride here, too (45). lol.

2nd marriage for both of us. 5 kids together (2-18, 1-19 and 2-21..thank god they all get along).

We are having a smaller wedding than both of our first, planned for only about 50 but I think we are at 70-ish right now. Getting married in November too here! 🙂 Definitely want it smaller but elegant and fun at a vineyard in Northern California.

Long lace dress but no veil, no father walking me down, not a lot of traditional stuff, only a MOH and BM. Feeling really old looking at some of the pics on here of younger brides.
