@Allyg:  I’m here.

I’ve got my dress, venue for ceremony and reception, florist, officiant, flowers, menu, photographer, save the dates, invitations, and DJ. I’m finalizing rentals with table linens, chairs, and maybe dishes if they are within budget. Chose my bridesmaid dresses today as well. We aren’t going to bother with a seating chart or anything until we know who for sure is coming.

Things that are done (although I don’t think we have anything paid off – all deposits so far)

Venue (same for ceremony and reception)

Photographer booked and e-photos done last summer

STD’s DIY’d and mailed out in January

Caterer booked

Event design rental place (what do I call them??)  – all decor/dishware/lighting etc picked out and deposit paid

Dress bought and should arrive anytime now

To Do:

BM’s Dresses (they’re picking their own)

Groom and Groomsmen suits

Figure out which kind of flowers to order for bouquets/Boutineres (sp?)

Finish gifts for the BM’s

Find and schedule a MUA and Hair dresser

Finish designing invites and figure out where the hell to get the cardstock thick enough for them (Michael’s paper is too flimsy)

I *THINK* that’s it… feel free to let me know if I’m forgetting somethign

To do:

Start legal bits at Registry office (doing on Friday!)

Bridesmaids dresses (tried one a couple, have one in the front running, meeting up in April to look at some more!)

FH’s ring (possibly looking at some on Saturday)

Honeymoon (leaning towards a week in Berlin!)

I think that’s where we are with everything, although there’s almost certainly something I’ve forgotten! To round it off, have some pictures of my progress!

@MrsPhilly:  I would like to recommend Catprint for your invites – they sent me an awesome sample pack of paper options with varying cardstock weights (free) and I’m currently waiting on our (free) proof.  Their quote was half that of any other printer!

@chronicwhimsy:  I need to know where you got that headband!

@ebarnes0:  I actually got it off Amazon, using vouchers I earned doing surveys! It’s the Ivory and Co ‘Helena’ side tiara, but it was £10 cheaper through Girls of Elegance on Amazon.co.uk than it was through the Ivory and Co website.

Things we still need to do:

Groom (and groomsmen’s) attire

Bridesmaids’ dresses (they’re picking their own though)

Get together centerpieces/reception decor (just for the tables thankfully)

Book a hairdresser

Do a makeup trial with my friend who’s doing the makeup (late summer)

Buy bridal party gifts

Dress fitting (but that’s waiting til late summer)

Find my shoes

Find a hair accessory

Order invites (almost there)

Find a bowtie for the dog

Write the ceremony (ughhhhhh this will take so long….)

Buy FH’s ring (got mine, yay!)

I’m sure there’s more, I don’t want to think about it.

It’s all on the backburner until we move May 3rd though.

@chronicwhimsy:  Oh man, their site just caused me to fall in love with the “Gracie” but I went to try to find it elsewhere and can’t…

@ebarnes0:  Ooh that one’s lovely! Girls of Elegance have that one too, I’m not sure what international shipping would be like though!

Actually, shipping costs don’t look too bad! If I’m understanding it right, it’s only £2 to ship an item to North America, which means you’d still get it £3 cheaper from them than if you went through Ivory and Co (about $6 I think…)
