We are marrying on Maui.  We will be having a small-ish (50 became 60 became 70) party 2 weeks after we return at a restaurant.  Passed hors d’oeuvres, a buffet & open bar, but no music or dancing, and no wedding cake.

@mrsedwardslpn:  We drove to Canada from Utah to get married in British Columbia in a national park.  It was a 2500 mile, 11 day road trip honeymoon for us.  We love the mountains and always wanted to go here!

Overall it was a very affordable wedding and vacation wrapped up into one.

We did not have any sort of dinner/party/etc for our family.  They all live in different states and that was our reason for eloping – no one could come to our wedding and they told us up front.  If they could not fly in for a wedding, I’m certain they could not fly in for a dinner.  They are in IL and OR, we’re in the middle in UT.

@mrsedwardslpn:  sound like what we are doing just a simple wedding in the park and dinner at a restaurant 10-15 guests

That sounds lovely!

We are legally getting married here in MI, but going 4 hrs to Toronto for 4 days and getting formally dressed (wedding gown, bouquet, suit..) for pro pictures.  It’s just us 2 and then we will celebrate after with some fancy dinner together.  We looked at “packages” and figured we could do better for the same price.

@mrsedwardslpn:  were still deciding but we are selecting between a historic courthouse, a historic theatre or a restaurant/event space. We are having a meal afterwards with just our parents and siblings.

We taking a Merditerranean cruise and eloping in Malta! English is an official language there, so no translation hassles, and there’s no residency requirement!
