We live in LA, but getting married in OC. I would have preferred to stay in LA, but I couldn't find anything I liked. So, we ventured into OC, and found a venue that I love! I did feel guilty, though, since the majority of my family lives in LA (SGV, to be exact) and would have to travel about an hour to get to our venue.
Eventhough Fiance's family is from out of town, we'd be doing tea ceremony in LA, and so they'd have to do the hour travel, too.
What to do? We are working on finding two homes in OC to rent for the weekend, and having our Tea Ceremony in OC as well! I consider it a semi-destination wedding!
We're getting married at Rancho Las Lomas in Silverado Canyons. We were planning to move down here to south OC as I was starting a new job, so it worked out really well!! Our guests will be driving in from all counties, and it is a bit of a drive, but I'm confident that they'll be glad that they did!! Our venue is incredible!!
We live in OC but we're getting married in SD, near where FH got engaged :)
I live in the OC, and we're getting married here, but my fiance is from Denver, Co. So it's a destination wedding for his family and friends. It's next January so I'm praying for amazing weather like we've had this year so that his family gets a mini vacation from the snow!
My FI lives in the OC (I live in Riverside). But the ceremony as well as the reception will be in the OC. The ceremony will be in a church in Santa Ana, and the ceremony will be at the Crystal Cathedral.
We live in the Antelope Valley but is getting married at the Tustin Banquet Center
We are getting married at the Westin South Coast plaza. Initially I liked the location because I wanted an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception which this place can accomodate. We decided to go with this location because we liked the package deal and the price. It was also very close to the airport . This is great for out of town guests. They don't have to rent a car, there is a shuttle from the airport and they can walk to the mall if they wanted something fun to do.
I'm getting married at Rancho Las Lomas too! My wedding is in August. The venue totally influenced our spanish theme. I'm so excited to see everything come together!
I live in OC but will be getting married in MS. Family is there and only a few friends are going from here.
Hi there! I'm new to Weddingbee so this will be my first post! I am planning my wedding while serving in the Marine Corps from Iraq- although not "officially" engaged yet, we are planning to marry soon after I get home (this wedding will be 6 years in the making!) and I am looking at venues in OC. I stumbled across Rancho Las Lomas on theknot and have fallen in LOVE! I can't seem to get any details about wedding packages/pricing because (obviously!) I can't make an appt. I saw that a few of you ladies are planning to marry there- do you have any info you can pass on?
@Miss Marine...I'm getting married at Rancho Las Lomas in August, my email is Janine_val@yaho.com, feel free to email me and I will send you the menus & pricing I have. Just to give you an idea of my pricing, the venue rental was $8000, with food for 80 guests we are around $27,000 for RLL. I knew by choosing this location it would balloon our budget, but I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else once I visited it. We LOVE it and are very excited to get married there! I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello OC brides! I was wondering where you are planning on getting married. If you live in the OC, will you get married there as well? Are there any brides that don't live in the OC but are planning on marrying there (and why)?
Please give your location and reason for choosing! :-)
I'm from the OC (live in Irvine) but we got married at UCLA. We wanted an education themed wedding and my husband is an alumnus, so it just worked out perfectly for us. It was also quite a bit cheaper than many of the locations in the OC that we liked.
