I always like to see photos of where couples are getting married. It’s inspiring to see all of the different ideas that people have because everyones tastes are different. I love it! Post a pic or tell us a story of where you and your soon to be husband are getting married! :o)
I’ll even start it off!
Mr. Godbee proposed to me at the Historic Savannah Theatre in downtown Savannah, GA (the city we live in), during the announcements after intermission on Dec. 3rd, 2010. He is the stage manager at this theatre. They do nightly shows and they are pretty amazing. At this time, he had only been working there for about two months. Anyways, during the accouncements he came out and proposed to me and in front of a full house and it was pretty amazing. I will always cherish that memory!
So, it seemed fitting once we picked our wedding date, (Dec. 4th, 2011) that we get married & hold the reception at a place we both love and at the venue where the proposal took place. So here is where we will be married in just 12 short days!!

How fun and congratulations. I am getting married in just 10 days in a beautiful little open air chapel called Chapel Dulcinea. It is sits on top of a hill in the middle of the hill country in Austin Texas. You can’t drive right up to it. The parking lot is at the bottom of the hill. So I will have a very long walk from the brides room to the Chapel. It will be lit only by gas lights, so excited.
Here is my special little spot.

@lmmcnutt: I remember that theater. My parents used to live outside Savannah (gorgeous city). Love how you picked the date!
@december bride: Oh hai fellow Austinite! We live near the area and I’ve never seen that chapel. Gorgeous!

This is also the same venue as Miss Funnel Cake for those of you playing at home. 🙂

@KristenGotMarried: Oooh that’s gorgeous! Do they have butterflies? It reminds me of a butterfly conservatory I went to recently.
@techie: Indeed, they have a butterfly exhibit that runs from May – September – we’ll be doing our first look there and have it open during cocktail hour. 🙂
We went this past May and my Fiance had a butterfly land on him that would. not. get. off. his. finger. He tried everything. Eventually we just had to kinda… shake it off kinda hard. Oops. Here he is trying to put the stupid thing in a food dish.

@KristenGotMarried: Haha! It wanted to go home with him ;p
That will be really gorgeous for cocktail hour!
