Marrying in Jan kinda gives us the heads up because we will probably get cheaper rates as most people don’t vacation this time of year. 🙂 So where are you going? We’re considering Mexico. Though as neither of us can speak fluent spanish it does worry me a little. The other thing we’re thinking of is a cruise. Happy planning fellow Jan 11 bees.

We are going to Cabo. Don’t worry about not being able to speak Spanish. You don’t need to in most vacation in spots in Mexico.
Edit: Oops, didn’t realize this was for Jan 2011! Anyway, really, don’t worry about not being able to speak Spanish. Mexico has a lot of great vacation spots!

We haven’t booked our honeymoon but I know that we are going somewhere warm.

Um, I have no idea where we’re going! Fiance is planning the whole thing and he’s not telling me ANYTHING!

So I’m a Jan 10 bride, but just wanted to give the 11s a heads up: We got a great deal on a luxury villa in Tofino, British Columbia because November – March is storm-watching season (big ocean waves to watch)…so if you’re looking for a vacay on the beach somewhere and you don’t speak another language and you need to do it on the cheap, I highly recommend Tofino!

@Lindsay- Que viva Puerto Rico!!! My family is from there so if you need suggestions on where to go or anything else, please PM me. We’re going to Greece! Although we won’t be able to take a honeymoon right away (the Fiance is in med school) so we’ll take a minimoon right afterwards (someplace where we can ski and get cozy by the fire).

We have decided since we live in Southern California and never go to the beach no matter what time of year we would go to a city destination. As of right now we are going between Portland, OR, San Francisco, CA, Austin, TX, and Nashville, TN!! We are very indecisive and we are also trying to use it as a scouting trip for a university for my fiancee!! I wish we had the time to do them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We’re going to Paris and London!! Paris is my dream city to visit and London is my fiance’s. Since we’ve been together, we’ve been to Hawaii multiple times and to the Caribbean, so we wanted to experience something new! And I’ve got to be honest, I’m probably more excited right now about the honeymoon than the wedding! 🙂

Bri the Bride let me know if you want any London suggestions I have lived there and would love to help out!!

We’re doing something small since it’s really not good timing for me with my new job (I have almost NO vacay time). We’re going to the Hershey Hotel and doing the Chocolate Spa. I’m pretty excited.

We’re going to St. Maarten!

@ Bohemianbailie: I would totally appreciate any recommendations you have! I went to London in junior high on an educational trip, so I’ve done a lot of the tourist/historical things. But if you have any obscure places, or places to shop and eat, or anything like that, that would be great! Send me a message if you think of anything! Thanks!!

We’re taking a 10-day cruise to the Bahamas/Aruba/Curacao/Panama/Costa Rica. Just booked it today. It was hard – I found ONE cruise that was close enough to the wedding day to give us a decent length honeymoon (since we’re getting married out of town.) For future reference: cruises generally don’t leave midweek!

We’re going to Seattle and staying in a tiny place on the coast later on in the week. It should be a ton of fun!
