LOL to myself we get married in 10 days and haven't booked anything yet.
We are just having one night away, the wedding night we are being driven somewhere for a night in a nice hotel room. We dont know where yet because it is a gift from my bridesmaid and is a suprise. I have a 6 year old and my partner has work and etc etc..... We plan to have a family holiday some time after, once the bank balance has recovered from the wedding.
Secrets Maroma Beach for 8 nights, I think it's just under 4k.
We're 'mini'mooning within our state (FL) on the opposite coast at a resort for 5 days. Total cost will be $1500, which is what works for our wedding budget right now. We plan to take the bigger trip a year or so after the wedding.
We are going to book ours two weeks before we go and decide then so its kind of like a surprise and we can get a discount for booking last minute!
We live at the beach, so we decided to go to Arizona. We are staying at a 5 star JW Marriott resort out there for free because FH had over 100,000 Marriott points, so points covered the stay. Our tickets were paid for with skymiles, we just had to pay the $70 in taxes. So basically our honeymoon will cost us whatever we spend while we're out there on food and activities.
We're taking a 7 day cruise to Bermuda. When it's all said and done it should run us about $3500 including our suite cabin, transportation to the port, passport fees & all spending money.
@UpstateCait: True, I didn't include excursions, tips, and cabs in my amount!
We are taking a 7 day cruise to Eastern Caribbean (San Juan, St. Thomas, Grand Turk and Nassau). The cruise rate was $1524 for the both of us. Plane tix are looking to be around $500 from ATL to Miami right now and then we plan to do an excursion or two so hopefully no more than $2500.
We're planning to go to Victoria and Vancouver, BC! Right now we're trying to figure out if we can afford it. We were hoping to spend about $3500, but now it's looking like it might be $4000+. I'm pretty sure we aren't going to change our minds though. We'll just have to take out an activity or save more money before we go! :)
We went to Hawaii for 8 nights and it ended up costing a little over 8k all in. Hotels + Flights were half of that, we spent a LOT of money on dinners/excursions/gifts.
@Ozzycee: The Cotswolds, which I love or if we can afford it we might try and get a late deal abroad somewhere.
We're going to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico for 5 days. Our resort is free because his sister gave us a week of her timeshare to use. We also got a free $300 credit to use on the resort when we booked. We just booked our flights and they were $755. So ours will probably cost us around $1,500 total when you factor in the flights, food (minus $300), and spending money.
We're not close at all yet but we have always planned on going to Mauritius. The flight alone from Canada looks like it will be around 2k. We are probably going to stay a night or 2 in whatever our stopover city is (London or Paris) just to make sure we don't miss that 13 hour flight to Mauritius.
I'm looking forward to it more than the wedding!
ETA: This will be for a minimum of 2 weeks since the travel there eats up 2 days!
we're going on a 7 night cruise, leaving from tampa. we booked a balcony cabin, and it was $1800 i think- that includes travel insurance & fees etc, but not the airfare (haven't booked yet), tips, spending $, alcohol, or excursions. we have a honeymoon registy, so we are hoping some of those will get covered through it. we booked with the vacation outlet, their cruise services are from the cruise outlet i think. it was WAY less than the list price. we're so excited! travel zoo is also an amazing place to look for low priced trips.
We are going to Thailand for 3 weeks! Though, we are getting married in a month, but we aren't going until November.
As for cost, we booked our flights with my air miles so we probably could have done it for very little, however we are going on a four day diving liveaboard which is quite expensive, taking internal flights instead of buses and staying in fairly nice accommodation, so all in all the trip probably costs $4500.
Also, we have a honeymoon registry so that really helps offset the costs!

We are going to Couples San Souci in Jamaica - 8 nights, beachfront suite, airfare from the upper Midwest, all-inclusive (including off-resort excursions) was just under $4k. With spending money and any other trips we decide to do while there, we should stay under $4500. Pretty good for my original budget for just the trip being $5k!
We are getting married in april so we are a bit limited as far as where we could go since we would like it to be hot. I just spoke to a travel agent and she reccomended thailand so that is what we are now looking at. Looks like it might be a bit pricy.
We're still researching too -- the finances will be a big deal for us as well, but we'll still do something great. We live in Florida, so I'd be happy with going to Disney World! Haha (I love that place).
LivingSocial is an app for iPhone, and a website and normally has some GREAT deals on "escapes" for all inclusive resorts for 2 people the only thing not included in the quoted price is your flights to and from, which I do understand could be costly. I also frequent jetsetter.com, although it's a bit more expensive than my taste. ALSO -- in one of the bridal magazines I had, the DREAMS RESORTS which are ALL INCLUSIVE seem to be more on the cheaper side, still with RAVE REVIEWS and airfare included.
I've heard, and done research on the honeymoon registries, I'm still on my toes with it!
Best of luck everyone!
we are going to Phuket Thailand for 8 days
airfare + suite = 5590.0
We are going to Varadero Cuba for a week. It cost us just under $1200 because we got it on super sale.
So excited!
We are going to St. Lucia for a week and staying at Calabash Cove in one of the waters edge cottages. I think it's around $6,000 all-inclusive but not including airfare.
We went to Playa del Carmen, Mexico and stayed at The Royal for 10 days/9 nights. It cost us $4,000 for everything.
Ocho Rios- Tower Isle Couples resort in Jamaica! 3k for 7 nights all inclusive! :)
Couples Negril in Jamaica, all-inclusive plus airfare, 8 days/7nights for $3,700 from the midwest.
@juliasoko after the flight you can do a trip to Thailand fairly affordably! In most places there is a great range from very cheap backpacker lodging to some of the most extravagant hotels in the world. If luxury isn't a necessity to you then you should be able to get very nice accommodation for $100ish a night. PM me if you need some tips. Though, I'm not sure what your travel agent was talking about as there are lots of warm places in April!
@Elarissa That's a great deal!
We are going to Couples San Souci in Jamaica - 7 nights, beachfront suite, airfare from the upper Midwest, all-inclusive, was about $3200 and then we are going to UNiversal studios for another 2 days and doing the Harry Potter etc. So everything in total just under $4000.00 including airfare and food, spending money etc
Key West & Walt Disney World for a total of 9 nights for about $5,000. We did set up a honeymoon registry so hopeully that total will go down some...we didn't ask for flights or hotel...just some activities and alcohol.
We went to New Orleans. Including our rental car to drive there after the wedding, 2 nights hotel (the other 3 were a timeshare gift to us) and food/activites we spent about 1800. I loved staying in the US and we had an amazing time.
We're going to Italy for 2 weeks. Venice - Florence - Sorrento - Rome
Flights and hotels are booked with travel Insurance for $3100. We're hoping to keep our daily spending under $200 for a total trip cost of$ 6,000
I already went last year, but I'll chime in. Anguilla, in June, 8 nights, $6K with everything, including spending money.
Sandals Jamaica! It was about $4,000 I believe, including plane tickets, all-inclusive. Can't wait!!! :)
Mini-moon in Asheville, NC (Biltmore, whoop!)- Right at $800
Honeymoon in Greece in August- $7,500 (plane tickets ate up most of this! If you can go at a less busy time, do it!)
