We had ours at Jane on West Houston Street. It was a fairly small RD, only 32 people, so the private room was perfect. Food and service were great too. Would definitely recommend.
We had ours at La Mela in Little Italy - fun atmosphere, and alot of food for a low price!
We had ours in my MIL and FILs back yard and they had it catered! yum yum
EDIT: I just realized this was posted in New York city...so you probably wanted to know where in New York city...oops :)

@Baileyh: LOL I was about to comment, umm yeah a backyard RD would be lovely, if anyone in NY HAD a backyard. haha. But your RD looked lovely!
We are having ours at I Trulli -- My absolute favorite restaurant! I'm sooo excited!
@lauren810c La Mela is my fave restaurant in Little Italy! Yum!
We actually had our on World Yacht Dinner Cruise. I thought it was going to be super cheesy but it was great and people who were not from NYC loved it.
We're doing Craftbar. They have a nice private room on the basement level and I have enjoyed most of their food (they have a chocolate cake dessert thing that is to die for).
In case it helps...we had also looked into Ilili -- they don't really seem to have a private room, but rather different areas that can be sectioned off. The small plates menu would be fun. Also had brunch recently at City Crab, which has a nice upstairs area and a passable private room for a casual event. And just this weekend I walked past the restaurant Pipa Tapas y Mas that was set up for a small wedding, but seems like would be appropriate for a large-ish rehearsal dinner too if you rented out the whole small restaurant. It was gorgeous -- the restaurant is decorated with tons of crystal chandeliers (in a vintage/ABC Carpet type way, not a stuffy way). I would love to have a party there.
We had ours at Trattoria Cinque in Tribeca. It was great. We had a pretty large RD with around 80 guests but I know they accomodate smaller parties too.
Pipa is a great choice. I was recently a MOH and took 11 girls there for a batcholerette party. They do a great pre fix and its tasty.
