The great thing about Bed, Bath, and Beyond is that they regularly mail out/email 20% off coupons, so people can use them for wedding gifts – I do that all the time for my friends. I get a coupon in the mail at least once a month.

We registered at BBB, Target, and JCP.

I loved the BBB one, and had no problem starting up a register online and scanning barcodes with their app on my phone for in-store items.

Target was good too, although I have had problems with them in the past for other registries. I just made sure to register for things there that I knew would stay in stock (non-seasonal).

JCP was good for products, but they never updated the information correctly. We asked for 4 sets of towels (bath, hand, washcloth) in a beige… and ended up getting 6 or 7 sets. Even after I called to get all of them listed as purchased, someone still bought another set after that time so obviously it didn’t matter. There were quite a few things bought from the registry that never reflected as being bought.

Any returns we have made have been great… either cash back or gift cards to the store.

Ugh, there are so few stores to register at in Eastern Canada!

I think there is only The Bay, BB&B, Linen Chest, Home Outfitters!  Like a PP said, the last 3 regularly offer coupons beacuse the prices are ridiculous.  I don’t think Walmart or Target offers wedding registries yet.  Sears is just sad.

We registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond for the large majority of our gifts. We are going to be starting fresh, so we need many essential home goods. At Macy’s we registered for luggage. Our throwaway registry is Amazon. There, we have the same luggage from Macy’s–but on Amazon, it’s always the “sale” price of Macy’s. (Our luggage starts at $100 for a carry-on bag at Macy’s, but regularly goes on sale for $45, and it’s always $45 on Amazon–so just in case it’s not on sale at Macy’s, they can still get it on Amazon for the same price.)

kelly.chapman.3597:  We registered at BB&B, Crate and Barrel, and Amazon.  We did BB&B so people could take advantage of the 20% coupons, Crate and Barrel because that’s where we got our existing dinnerware and we wanted extra pieces, and Amazon for out of the ordinary things (like a rice dispenser) we couldn’t get anywhere else.

We complied them all at http://www.myregistry.com so people wouldn’t have to go between 3 different websites.

We did walmart, but I was also sure to let my mother know to spread the word that the registry was just a guideline. When it comes to microwaves and blenders, I didn’t have an exact model in mind – just color.

kelly.chapman.3597:  We did BBB, Kohl’s and Target. BBB and Kohl’s always have coupons and you can get 20% anything left on your registry
