Hi All...
So I'm wondering where you and your FI are going to spend the night before the wedding? My wedding is out of town for us and I'm trying to figure out if I'll be sleeping with my sister and her date, or possibly another BM and her husband in the hotel. I do not want to stay with my parents b/c they both snore very loudly.
I'm staying with my parents at their house, FI is staying in a hotel
My fiance will stay wherever we're going to live after we're married. I will stay at my house, which is still my parents house. In my family it's not common or even suggested for a woman to move out before the wedding never the less live with her potential husband. Besides FI and I don't believe in living together...it just wasn't right for our belief system.... to each is their own.
My apartment or FBIL's (where we're getting married) I haven't decided for sure yet.
I'm so glad I read your post! It made me realize that for sure I'm not staying in a suite with my parents because they BOTH snore. (It's an out-of-town wedding.) I didn't even think of that! Maybe in a hotel suite by myself. Or maybe a multiple room suite with bridesmaids.... if they want. He'll be at his parents' home, I'm guessing.
FI and I are bucking tradition 100% and staying, Together, in our bed in our apartment. We both feel that if we sleep elsewhere or apart, our quality of sleep will probably not be what it would be if we were together. And, hey, why pay good money to stay elsewhere when we live in the city we're getting married in? There have been some family grumbles about our decision, but we're firm about it.
Probably we'll both stay in our apartment. :/ The wedding is going to be in NYC and grad school admissions willing, we'll be living there too. Otherwise we'll be in a hotel. FI's home is in Brooklyn but I don't want to stay there the night before our wedding and I'd be lonely without FI next to me! We aren't going for the seperate beds tradition at all.
I am staying in a hotel with my MOH and he's staying at our condo - we already live together but I don't want him seeing me before the reveal the day of the wedding - although I am not superstious as we are doing the majority of our pictures before the ceremony.
I will be in a hotel with my sister.... FI will be in a different hotel with his sister!
If all goes as planned, I'll be staying in a hotel (the hotel attached to our venue) with my bridesmaids!
I'm also bucking tradition and staying at home with my fiance in our bed the night before the wedding :) Neither one of us would sleep very well that night otherwise. I'm sure that I'll hear about how I should stay elsewhere or how he should stay elsewhere, but we'd both prefer to be together.
I'm going to be at my parents where I currently live. He'll either be at his parents or in our apartment (assuming we can actually find one).
i'll be at my parents house and FI will be at a hotel near by... you should try and get a room by yourself?? or with a bridesmaid??
We are both going to stay at our parent's houses since we are both from the same home town.
We'll both be at our home, because there's no point in spending money to stay at a hotel, especially since it would make it take longer to reach the venue from almost any hotel in town. I think we'll sleep apart if we can, but I'm not sure.
I'm sleeping at my mom's, while he and his out of town friends sleep at our house.
I don't know yet - - we have talked about it a couple of times. We have talked about staying at the hotel w/ our wedding party - FH with the groomsmen and myself with the bridesmaids...We don't really sleep well when we're apart so then we also have talked about sleeping at home in bed together.....BORING - I don't know what we're going to do!!!!!
We are also spending the night at our house in our bed. I am all about the quality of sleep the night before! =)
we are all staying the night at a hotel since most of our family is out of the area. i'll be sleeping in a room with my mom, sis and friend and FI will be in another room.
we don't know if we'll be doing a first look or not... if not, we'll have to make sure we don't bump into each other in the hallway the morning of the wedding!
I just realized I hadn't thought of this. We live at my house, but he still owns his house. Naybe he could spend the night before the wedding there. I'm not sure that I like that idea...
I was thinking of doing it at my parents' house, but part of me really wants to have a sleepover! So maybe doing it in a hotel room, depending on how much I have done the day before... I don't know. So many questions!
I'm staying at our condo with my one single bridesmaid, he is staying at the hotel where we are holding our reception, probably with my brother.
My husband and I stayed at our own house the night before and after.
Fi kept telling his friends and family that they could stay at our house for the weekend, so when I realized the potential over-crowding, I said fine, but I'm staying at a hotel! So I booked our wedding night room a night early. And I think everyone else realized the over-crowding too, and they all got hotel rooms, so now FI is potentially going to be alone on Friday night :( Poor guy!
We stayed in our apartment together, and we both took sleeping pills since we were too excited to fall asleep naturally :)
I wanted to stay in my room at my parent's house, but my mom gave it away to incoming family! So, I'll be staying in a suite at our reception venue with one of my bridesmaids.
ours is a semi destination wedding - im staying in the suite we are all getting ready in the morning of the wedding, and either my sister is staying with me and my FH with my bro in law, or who knows. either way hes not sleepin with me! lol
I'm staying in a cottage that my parents rented; with them, my MOH and two of my other bridesmaids :)
FI is going to be staying at the apartment with FBIL, and maybe a couple of groomsmen.
I'm staying at a hotel close to my parents' house with my MOH and BM. It's too crowded at my parents' house and I want my Zzzzz before the big day. FI is staying at another hotel.
FI is staying at our house, and I am staying in a hotel with 2 of my bridesmaids and my sister. I'd stay at my parents', but Mom smokes in the house. Don't want my hair/dress being smoky on the big day.
Our plans aren't set in stone yet, but right now I'm planning to sleep at home and FI will sleep in the guest bedroom at the best man's house. He lives less than five miles from our venue, so FI will wake up in the house where he and the boys will get ready and have fun with Xbox and scotch all day. I'll have to drive some 20-30 minutes, but I'm okay with that since I get to sleep in our bed. :)
I am staying at the hotel where the wedding is taking place-Mr. Mojito is staying the night at our house. I am hoping I can get some sleep.
Our wedding is also out of town, so I'll be staying with my MOH and other BM's at my MOH's house and my FH will be staying at a hotel with his GM :]
My Mom is renting a 3-room B and B. Who will stay there is me, my Mom and my MOH (maybe also flower girl in my Mom's room).
Wedding night in the same B&B it will be me&groom, MOH and her man, and Best Man (his wife can't make the wedding sadly).
Hotel with my bridesmaids... my FI will be at our house with some of his groomsmen.
I will be in the hotel, probably with my bridesmaids. FI will go home or stay with his best man who lives 10 minutes from our venue.
Wedding is out of town for us as well. The night before I will be staying at my family's house while FI stays at the hotel. We're doing the traditional groom pick up bride and bridal door games. Should be fun!
