i have nesting boxes like that from michaels - they have xmas penguins on them though. You could use wrapping paper and carefully cover them. They were super cheap.
Go to dollarama or micheals. You could even try Wal-Mart or Zellers though Zellers has less craft stuff than Wal-Mart usually. Also depending where you are in Ontario you could try craft stores, or even ask around on Kijiji.
And Fabricland should have the ribbon/cording.

You're in Canada? I'm in Vancouver and I saw sets of 3 or 5 nesting boxes with lids about 2 months ago at DeSerres. Used to be called Loomis Art Supplies. They are a national chain. Maybe you can see if they have stores in your area?
I made a very similar card box using boxes from Michaels. They were actually in a spot that I wasn't expecting to find them. They are nesting boxes and were over in the wood crafting area, not with the other decorative boxes. They were all nested in the biggest box, so when they are on the shelf it only looks like one box. They also had circle and oval nesting boxes at my Michaels.

I've seen nesting boxes at Michaels. Ask a sales associate - I seem to remember they were in an odd section of the store.

Hi ladies,
Im hoping someone might be able to help me! I have been looking for boxes to make this card box, but have not been able to find them ANYWHERE!! i found a few places online, but you have to order them in bulk, and I only plan on making one :) I have also checked dollar stores, Michaels, Walmart and ebay, to no avail! i live in Ontario... any ideas? even online?
