Hey Miss GB!  Sorry can’t help you with Vancouver, but if you strike out locally and want to go the online route, try Nettleton Hollow:

http://www.nettletonhollow.com/

Their customer service is great and their shipping prices were really reasonable (I bought big 7′ birch logs for Chuppah poles from them and it was way less than I expected).  I originally heard about them from Mrs. Gummi Bear:

I’m desperate to find manzanita branches locally as well.  Too bad Nettletonhollow doesn’t ship to Canada.

Seriously, why are they so hard to find?  I even read that they grow in BC, so I’m hoping to one day wander into a random patch of forest and find me some!

I dunno about ‘manza-who?’ but Wonderbucks on Broadway and … (forget the street, it’s just east of Oak) often has funky branch-type things. Cheap, too. Worth a try. If not, then yes! I agree, a florist would know.  Good luck!

Well, considering we live in a temperate rain forest setting, my suggestion is to go for a wee hike and take a pair of pruning shears with you 😉  Some might frown upon that idea, but honestly, it won’t hurt if you take just a few branch clippings!

If you aren’t comfortable with that idea, there is an online retailer that’s located in Mount Hope, ON.   Not that close, but canadian at least!

They don’t have manzanita branches listed, but you could always call and see if they can get them.  Alternatively, they have curly willow, which might do the trick!

Good luck!
