My sister is going to help me make a similar necklace. I think we will end up getting the pearls from firemountaingems.com
Why go fake? You can get real freshwater pearls from China on Ebay that are very beautiful, I bought my mom an 6 strand of 8 mm FW pearls for 30.00...
Macys, JC Pennys, and Kohls have nice sets of real pearls for cheap. Also They all have sales all the time and Kohls often has Kohls cash that you can use to purchase the necklaces.
@evalaque - Do you know the seller's name on Ebay you bought them from? Yeah I'd def. rather have them be real! TIA!
Just search freshwater pearl necklace and you'll find lots of sellers:
Cultured pearls are the expensive ones that are perfectly round and can sell for hundreds of dollars. Freshwater pearls can be ridiculously cheap. They're not perfectly round but some of them are very close to round, and IMO they have a bit more character than the perfectly round ones.
If you ever want to test whether a pearl is genuine or not, rub it against your tooth (probably not a good idea unless you've bought it!) Real pearls will always feel / sound a bit rough due to the really finely textured surface, while fake pearls tend to be perfectly smooth.
I bought several pieces of jewelry from this site and was very happy with service, price, and quality:
I was surprised to find that the Dessy website has pretty nice pearls. J. Crew has really pretty multistrand pearls, too.
i believe my bff got ours on wedding star it was a single strand but they might have doubles
i got mine from sears each set was 15 dollars for both the necklace and earings!!!!
I got mine from Express. They have a few pearl peices to chose from.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I'm looking for a double strand so I can add a vintage brooch to them. They would be for my BMs. Anybody know of a Website or an Etsy seller that has good quality ones? I want to spend about $30 each. The brooches I'd buy seperate.
TIA!
