I don't live in Seattle, but I found my inexpensive BM dresses from JCPenny. In my experience & research; going retail is prob going to be your best bet vs. going to an bridal store.
What price do you consider cheap? I tried to find something affordable, but still high quality and I ended up going with Vineyard dresses from The Bridal Garden. There are tons of dresses to choose from, in a variety of colors, and most were only $200. We are paying for 1/2, so I thought $100 (plus tax) was a reasonable price for the girls.
if you don't want typical "bridesmaide-y" dresses you could find cute dresses at forever 21 or H&M. I've seen it before! Or check out this Seattle bride that outfitted her bridesmaids for under $50 each and they look fantastic!

Yep, I actually found beautiful dresses on sale at H&M for $20! On sale from $80. Just have to be in the right store at the right time and open to different colors, etc.
I second department stores... I just ordered a tons of dresses from nordstrom.com since a lot of stuff is on sale. They have free shipping when your order is over $200 (I think) and you can return to the store.
I've found that the minute you call a cocktail dress a "bridesmaids dress" the price goes up $100. So not worth it! My friend got her bridesmaids dresses from macys and they were darling.

J Crew always has dresses on sale online. I found my "Sophia" dresses for only $50 and they were normally $150. I have seen a really good selection of dresses in the sale section

i chose mori lee dresses for my floor-length bridesmaids, which cost around $120 to no more than $150. you can find them at moms, maids, and more in bellevue and in all that shimmers in tacoma. i thought they looked better and cost less than david's bridal. venus and forever yours collections also offers affordable dresses.
