These are only 11 inches (the ones at the way bottom)...sad though because they are like $3 each.

Maybe try an Etsy alchemy request?
I've been looking for these too! I want to do these but with a black candlestick:

Darn, the only place I've seen those lately was restoration hardware and they were lotsa bucks. Lets see what I can google..
19.5" but sold out online, look in store: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/186-8392132-1078349?asin=B000BPGZXA&AFID=Froogle_df&LNM=|B000BPGZXA&CPNG=home%20decor&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001
20" but most expensive so far: http://www.brandsplace.com/0372-kc72-walnut.html?utm_source=0372-kc72-walnut&utm_medium=shopping%2Bengine&utm_campaign=froogle
20" but $45, but these look like your pic: http://www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=301&storeId=301&langId=-1&productId=501909560
BTW, it may be cheaper to buy table legs and screw a small piece of wood into the top to give the pomander a place to rest. Pine legs, 29" tall were only like $24.

ETA: there's one further down the page that's even cheaper, $17.95 for pine!
You could try making your own. I plan on using stair spindles to make mine. to give them a sturdier base, use a wooden fence post cap (dmall square pieces of wood, you will find by the wooden fence area). To get the pomander to stick to the top, you could just hot glue some kind of spike at the top of it that you can drive into the pomander in that area. You might be able to find something similar but in carying heights in the wooden fence section also, instead of using the stair spindles. Next step, prime and paint in any color you choose. Hope this helps...wish I had pictures I could post for you on how it would look, but I havent even started making them yet....hopefully I will next week.
@be2much I guess great minds think alike! Lol
Heh @LaborOfLove we were thinking along the same lines. FI's coworker made taps for his kegerator out of deck spindles and I think they'd be a perfect fit too. We'd just have to cut off one end or the other, make a base, then paint them:

@ejoyb - LOVE that arrangement! I am looking into doing baby's breath for our ceremony space also. It's gorgeous!
@labor - GREAT idea. That is the perfect look, so I can try out painting them to see what they actually look like & talk to whatever florist I use to make sure they can use it. I guess I would be most concerned about making sure it wasn't too top heavy--but I guess I could always affix a wider, flat square at the bottom to make sure it doesn't tip.
@be2much - Stair spindles?!??? What an AWESOME idea--never would have thought of that myself. If you start your project anytime soon, I would love to see pics!
See....THIS is why I come to the Bee! Nothing but problem solvers!!
Now that I had some ideas for what to look for, I found this:
http://www.stairsupplies.com/eng/products/wood_baluster/Primed_Balusters/5300_primed
which seems like it would potentially be perfect. I would have to cut it down a bit, but the one end is pointed, so that should easily be able to stick into the floral foam. Even cutting them down a bit, you still get the effect of the interesting detail of the baluster, and...wait for it.....less than $8 each!! (already primed!)
Boo-yah!
You guys rock my world!! :) Would have NEVER EVER thought of stair spindles!!! Thanks for the inspiration and for the post, moneypenny02!
wow, some awesome ideas here! I am doing something similar with glass candlesticks and paper flower pomandars on top of them... I just started collecting the candlesticks today!

Awesome that it all worked out! :) I like the paper pomanders, btw. Where did you find the instructions for those?

SO...I love this look for my centerpiece:
I finally started getting florist quotes, because I was initially planning to DIY, but I just think that wouldn't be possibly given my lack of freezer AND I am really just going to appreciate having one less thing to worry about! In my first quote, the florist quoted $145 to do each of these (with carnations, not roses). Another quoted $55 to do JUST the pomanders. HUGE difference. So I am thinking if I can find the candlesticks for a low price that would be a BIG help & cut down the price significantly.
Does anyone have any idea where I could find these? Even wooden ones that could be painted would be fine--I have even found a few, but I need them to be TALL (as in, over 20 inches at least), and that has usually been the sticking point from my searching online. I have found a few mahogany ones that would be perfect (like these, if they were in stock! )--if only they weren't like $70+ each.
Any suggestions???
