Both my MIL and step mom went to normal department stores for dresses. There seem to be more options there than bridal shops.
Dillards has a nice selection of dresses for MOB's. Champagne is a flattering color on most women and would go well in pics with your wedding colors.
Nordstrom or Pennys or Macys, depending on how upscale you are looking. Also check local boutiques. I also love Aria's dresses and they make some that look like they are for older women, but my mom and MIL refused to do mail order.
My mother actually got her MOB dress at the bridal shop that I got my dress from. Its a deep shade of purple, tea length, and is actually a bridesmaid dress. It is strapless but they are adding thicker straps for her. She (and I) didn't want a typical MOB dress and this was perfect for her!

My mom is kind of picky about her clothes, and I've been trying to find a cute dress that she would like for her MOB dress, but I haven't found very many dresses that are tea-length. Anyone know where we can find some cute tea-length dresses?
BTW, our colors are maroon/burgundy and hot pink.
