    Hello bees,

I am looking to get a round halo setting with micropave band.  I would like an enhanced moissanite but I'm having a hard time finding an ehhanced OEC moissanite.  Do OEC moissanites come enhanced at all?  Please help!

I think Moissaniteco can get OEC's Amora-ized.  Their customer service should be able to tell you.  Plus, they could set the stone in one of their micropave bands.  I think Shubach's can put a coating on the back, though I'm less sure about that.  I'd see about the amora with Moissaniteco first, that would be the way to go for enhancement.

Looks like you can get it from Moissaniteco, but you may have to email about it.  Seems like they are waiting on a new batch.

I emailed Moissaniteco and they said I could get it from there but it will take at least 4 weeks for the stone to be enhanced.

    Thanks Bees!

    Try schubach.com

They sell the coated enhanced OEC at a better price than moissaniteco.com and they also have better customer service (speaking from experience).

    Good luck! :)

@KatNewby:  Thank you so much for the tip! I see a beautiful ring in that tiny little profile picture! Do you have larger pictures??

@KatNewby:  I went to schubach.com and didn't see any enhanced OECs... Did you have to have it custom made (enhanced)?  I do like the idea of purchasing it from a different website since I wasn't all that happy with moissaniteco's customer service.  But I can't seem to find enhanced OECs on schunach's website.  Did you purchase yours there and if so, any pictures? Thanks so much!

@boulderbean:  Hi BoulderBean :) I didn't buy my RB moissanite from Schubachs, but they do sell RB and OEC moissanite. I contacted the company, the info should be on their site. The are more of a jewelry store type of place, so they don't have the amount of internet traffic and "load cart" mentality that moissaniteco does. I wish I had known about schubach's when I purchased my moissanite!

And thats for the compliment on my avatar pic! I am actually waiting for my boyfriend to have that ring made with our 3ct moissanite! If you want to see more pics of the original, here is the link:

Also, if you haven't decided on the setting yet, this company has some beautiful signature settings :)

@KatNewby:  They really do have some pretty halos! Thanks so much for sharing!

I do have just one more question for you, though! Could you tell me where you got your moissanite from?

@boulderbean:  I got my moissanite from moissaniteco. So I have worked with both companies and I say with experience which I prefer. I am sort of an addict of another jewelry forum and I constantly see the owner of moissaniteco getting super snarky and defensive (when evidently in the wrong) when people bring concerns to the forum about a ring they got from them, or even talk about their business practices.

I hope I don't come across as though I am trying to be a hate basher lol. The truth is that my experience was just fine with moissaniteco when I was purchasing my loose stone, but the issues arise when you have some type of problem with their products and needs something rectified. They are not very quick at all to come to the customer's aid and truly make them happy.

@KatNewby:  Oh I get exactly what you mean.  I had no problem with them whatsoever when I was just purchasing, but they weren't all that kind when responding to other problem related questions/requests.

Anyway, thank you so much for all the info, KatNewby!

@boulderbean:  Glad you understand :) & you are more than welcome!

Did you end up with your hands on an OEC? If so, I want to preface by saying that I am sooo jealous lol, and follow by demanding pictures! :)

@KatNewby:  Haha no, not yet but hope to get one soon!  I'm still looking for the perfect setting... and of course, I've been writing emails back and forth with moissaniteco and some independent jewelers on etsy. Ahh.  No worries, I will post the pictures when I get it! :)
