Not true, I got my second MS dress there, no problems. Just don't go when they are super busy. If you can go in the evenings or Sunday mornings, then that's ideal because they can get super busy. I got my first MS dress at Doris Fashions in Brooklyn. For other locations, go to MS's website, and you can get the list of all the NYC area dealers.... GL.
RK Bridal carries MS and they have a good amount of dresses. I also tried some on at Bridal Boutique in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It's a really cute boutique and the owner will take her time and work with you to try on whatever. She's really great. I'd recommend going there before RK (since I think RK is a little less personal and not the greatest for your first time trying on dresses). My first time was at Bridal Boutique and it was great!
Ooooh, I had completely forgotten about Bridal Boutique in Greenpoint! That really would be perfect as I used to live there. I might start there before I work my way to the Manhattan Bridals and RK Bridals of the world. I've been to RK Bridal to buy bridesmaids dresses and it really isn't what I want out of the initial wedding dress shopping experience.

I was wondering if any NYC Bees know where I can try on Maggie Sottero dresses. I heard Manhattan Bridal inChinatown carroes them but that it isn't really a nice or ideal place to go try dresses on for the first time.
I am happy to go there and buy from them eventually, but just wanted to know if there were any nicer places where I could go with friends or family. I want an actual bridal salon with a consultant vs just pulling things of racks to try on myself.
