I purchased my paper from Mountain Cow. But that was a mistake as their paper is nice, but pricey! I found out about Paper and More long after I had already purchased paper for my wedding invites, but I still use them for my scrapbooking source! Paper and More has a great selection and the cheapest prices for paper you'll find! They have text paper, cardstock, and vellum all in different colors, patterns, and textures. So Paper and More is definitely your best bet. Also try Paper Source. If you need to buy your paper in very large amounts (i.e. reams of 250 or more of a sinlge color), then go to The Paper Mill Store. They sell a HUGE variety of paper, but in larger quantities (as they deal more with stores than with consumers). Hope that helps!
Cards and pockets.com and a paper craft/scrapbooking store near me.
Good luck
I second paper and more! Great company, no sales tax if you live outside of California, fast shipping, and the cheapest shipping rates around (3.99 for any purchase over $15, and $1 for as many samples as you want)! I ordered pocketfolds and plain cardstock from them and am really happy with the quality.
Paper and more is great, so is cards and pockets. Envelopper Inc is good too but a little more pricey.
Thanks for all the input, ladies! I checked out Paper & More but I need bigger paper than they offer. I need red paper that measures at least 15x7. Crazy, I know. Any thoughts in light of that caveat? :)
We plan to buy from LCIpaper.com - company based out of MA but has great website and customer servicve.
Paper Source and LCI paper both sell large format sheets of cardstock and text paper. Paper Source's prices range from $.50-$1.50 per sheet. LCI's prices run around $37 for a pack of 50 sheets of 13x20 cardstock.
I got m ypaper from staples, the parchment type, I'm going to fold it, it'll be simple and elegant; I'd rather spend on reception and venue
I got mine from: http://www.discountcardstock.com/
and my envelopes from: http://www.paperpresentation.com/
I used anchor paper (http://www.anchorpaper.com/) and their customer service was awesome. They have a pretty good selection and they did a lot of custom cutting for me for a very small price. Hope this helps!
Cards and Pockets and I got the envelopes from Envelopper (something like that) all online.
My FI and I went to Staples and bought the cardstock there and used it. Although, our invitations are very simple so it depends on how detailed yours are.
I got my envelopes and cardstock from Paper and More as well. Their prices are great and their customer service was awesome. They even upgraded my shipping for no extra cost. For the pockets of our invitations I bought specialty papers fromcreative papers online. Website below.
They have an excellent selection of gorgeous specialty papers and surfing through their site was an inspiration for me as I was designing my invites.
good luck!
Cards and pockets is great, and I bought my bulk paper from xpedex paper...they had great metallic shades and really good prices.
I put in another vote for paperandmore.com! I actually just ordered more of the cardstock from them that I used for my invites. They are crazy-fast! I submitted the order, to be cut, on Thursday around 2:30pm. Within 4 hours the paper was cut, packaged and shipped. They are in California so unfortunately my order has to travel all the way to the east coast but they process and get it out the door so fast. Their prices and selection are great.

I bought my pocketfolds from Paper and More, and my paper/envelopes from Paper Source. I also looked at Cards and Pockets and LCI paper but couldn't find the right colors (and my pocketfolds were a lot cheaper at Paper and More than Cards and Pockets)
Here are my invitations(http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/my-diy-pocketfolds-brown-and-green) if you want to see how I used them. I'm going to post a DIY and cost breakdown on them soon, but I used sage cardstock and white (which is very ivory!) card stock, text weight, and envelopes.
Definitely depends on how picky you are about the paper and colors how much time you have (ORDER SAMPLES!) and how complicated the invitation are.
PaperPresentation is awesome. They have lots to choose from and reasonable shipping prices. I used them for everything!
I've mentioned this site on weddingbee a few times....
bluedotpapershop.com is awesome...the paper arrives in less than 2 weeks! And I'm in Canada so if your in the US it's probably faster.

My family and I created a mock-up of an invitation last night and I LOVE it. Now I am trying to figure out the most cost effective way of buying the paper. Suggestions? Ideas? Any input would be VERY appreciated!
