So last week, I wrote a post about my not-so-great experience with an Etsy seller, who has been totally unreliable and unresponsive to my e-mail. This weekend, my Fiance and I did a little experimenting with our design and new printer, and decided that we could do it ourselves! However, the sample paper we got is pretty $$$, so I was hoping the Bees could suggest some on-line stores that sell affordable paper and envelopes. The size we’re looking for is “tea length.”
Thanks in advance!!

I bought from three vendors…
paperandmore.com – pocketfolds
paper-papers.com – stardream paper, stardream envelopes, 6.5″ square envelopes
paperpresentation.com – 8.5×11 cardstock, 8.5×14 cardstock

I found the most inexpensive places for paper & envelopes was paper presentation. The paper was true to the color posted on their website & I was pleased with the service.

I don’t know if Paper Source is inexpensive, but I feel like I got a good deal there. They have so many sizes, shapes, and colors to choose from. I had a blast picking out what I needed for invites.

I bought mine from here: http://www.kellypaper.com/
It’s more of an office warehouse type paper store, but I liked the prices.

I got my petal folds and linen cardstock from http://www.paperandmore.com
I like them because u can order samples of all the papers and pocketfolds for like .25 to $1 u don’t have to order a whole pack
I got my envelopes and envelope liner paper and liner templates from
because i wanted pointy flap envelopes and paperandmore.com only had square flap.

I’m starting off by getting samples from Paper and More, Paper Presentation and Cards and More. They all have a little something different that I wanted, ie one I had the Top-Open Envelopes 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 that I want for the invites.
It all depends on which one has the red we want, the vellum we like/can print on!

Can you guys put links up for all of these sites? That would be SUPER helpful for someone like me, who knows that the big Paper Research Project is looming on the horizon 🙂

I’m a dumba$$ I meant Cards And Pockets!
Just ordered my samples from all three! Eek! I hope my inkjet printer takes to them. Tried to research my printer a little to see what the max paper weight it can take is but no luck. Just will have to test it out and try.
Any suggestions on paper cutters? Iwas just going to use a old school office paper cutter but saw these rotary cutter thingies. Would they provide a cleaner edge? I hate the edge paper cutters give. Not clean at all.

We ordered our invites there and then matching cardstock for programs, etc.
