If you don't mind looking online, try Tanga.com Most of the rings they feature are men's, but I found a pretty one that I ordered for myself. I got it within a few days and it was only like $12.
I got mine off ebay for $300. It is okay- channel set diamonds in white gold. I don't LOVE it, but it was inexpensive and it is okay.
There are plenty of places where you can get two simple gold bands for under 500 dollars: Littman's, Overstock, Zales, and JCPenney. We looked into Titanium bands as well, $50 each. We have family rings so we only need to pay to have them sized.
we got ours at a local jeweler. It is 18kt white gold with small diamonds around half the band. It was $400
kays has small diamond ones for under $500 and if you are looking of male wedding bands just google ther are SO many places, i've seen them out there really cheap
Unless you are concerned about bad juju, check out jewellers that specialize in used jewelry. You can get a great deal on something just because it was previously worn, no joke.
I got mine from Fred Meyer's Jewelry or AKA Littman's on the east coast. I got mine on clearance! I love getting a good deal.
We just got our bands from Robbins brothers $95 for his titanium band and $395 for mine! They're awesome
500 is a great price point for a band, mine is 14k white gold with ALOT of diamonds and matches my ring perfectly and it is under 400.
go to a local jeweler, you'll get much better quality and service than a retail chain
Thanks for all the responses, I'm interested in a simple half eternity band, chanel style
I got my band from JB Robinson for under $500. It's gorgeous and a perfect fit with my heirloom ring.

there are a whole lotta styles
We bought both of ours for under $500 apiece at Days Jewelers and G.M. Pollack and Sons. We love ours and got some really good service to go along with them.
We're looking at http://www.larsonjewelers.com/ for wedding bands. When we went to Kay's the same bands were over $500. At Larson Jewelers, they have all sorts of different types of wedding rings and you can probably get a pair for under $500.
We were looking at ones at Shane Company - both of ours were under $250
I went online (ebay) and ordered matching Tunston Carb. Bands with carbon fiber inlay that are comfort fit. It was what FI wanted, before we started seriously looking. I got both with free inscribing, for $35. They are great, and showed it to his mom who LOVES jewlry, and she said it was great!
For me it isnt really my style , but they had others. FI wants our to match, and since I LOVE my E-ring adn wont wear them together alot its what we went with
Amazon.com, Sam's Club and Costco. All have shockingly good quality and amazing deals- you really can't go wrong.
I got mine on clearance at Osterman's -- it's a half carat and I lOVES it!
$400
Looks like this:

Mine was $80 on Amazon. It's a 14k white gold Benchmark 2mm band. It goes perfectly under my halo ring and I love it. They sell Benchmark bands at many stores, but Amazon has them for a good price.
I know I say it all the time, but Etsy. I have purchased so much jewelry from Etsy and it's always so much less expensive than big mall stores.
Some of my favorites are Daniel M Jewelry, Heart of Water, McFarland Designs, Laurie Sarah Designs.
I'm getting my wedding band from an Etsy designer in 14k rose gold and sapphire for $550.
I think I'm just going back to Shane CO and get a plain band... hopefully for $100-150.
moissaniteco.com - they modify most of their rings to your specifications, and the prices are really great! my 3/4 eternity 2mm moissanite ring sparkles like crazy and was only $460 - no tax.
careful when you shop online. ring photos can be so deceptive. I ordered a ring that looked pretty blingy from ShaneCo for $450. but when I got it, it was so thin and delicate, I could barely see it!
but no harm in looking around!
I got mine from the Zales outlet for around $400, and it's very sparkly! I love it! That price is including the lifetime care package as well.
He got mine on overstock.com and I got his in the mall at a small kiosk.
@ellabee: We got my band at overstock, too :o) It was much cheaper than what we saw in stores.
Overstock.com for us, too. With shipping, we paid about a fifth of what we were quoted at a major jewelry chain. And got them in 2 days. And they were perfect.
We got his from Amazon, it's 8mm beveled black tungsten carbide, costed $45.00 including shipping. Mine was from Overstock- $300 shipped, white gold w/ blue & white diamonds, intricate detailing. We both absolutely love them, and I loved the prices :)
We got both our bands for under $500 total at a local jeweler...you might try a smaller shop, as prices tend to be better there than at big chain stores.
I got mine from e-weddingbands.com. Just plain bands and both were about $500 (less) together. Mine is thin (3mm I think) and his is 6mm, I believe. They had really good prices and will engrave for free. Otherwise, I've heard Costco has good deals.

We are looking for wedding bands now and I'm just interested in finding out where you guys bought your wedding bands that cost less than 500? I'm thinking of Zales or Kay but I'm wondering if there are any better places
