I actually found mine by posting on my facebook. I simply put “We are looking for a violinst for our wedding. Anyone know someone good?”

I was actually got a lot of people who responded, and found someone that fit our budget and it going to be great.

Ours is a friend.  We met while I was working at a restaurant and he was the hired entertainment on Friday nights.  So you could check out local eating or watering holes to find talent.  And ask your friends they might know someone.

@missmichigan: It is for a violinist and a chellist. They are $250 and they are coming for the rehersal too. They are usually $500, but we ended up being from the same small town and have some of the same friends so they said that would do it for less. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

3 years ago I volunteered as the rehearsal/performance pianist for my old highschool’s musical (they were in desperate need of someone, and I had a bit of time on my hands as I was finishing up my degree at home). I knew even back then that I wanted those kids to sing at my wedding. They were freaking fantastic, even at just 16/17!! So as soon as I got engaged I got right on them and asked if they would sing at the wedding. They were all thrilled to! It was a small musical, so there were only 6 performers and I got to know them all quite well. I am so excited to have these fantastic budding stars at my wedding, who I know will be absolutely amazing! Best of all – they’re free! ๐Ÿ™‚ I will definitely be giving them a big thank you in the form of gift cards though!
