I got our cake topper from etsy but we didn’t get a porcelain one.

I did, however, see a nice waterford cake topper today at Bed, Bath, and Beyond http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=40164694

I thought that was pretty =)  You could buy something like that with a 20% off coupon.  I dunno how much you’re looking to spend.

I just bought us these: https://www.etsy.com/transaction/88814998  ^_^ and they’re so cute!

I got mine from idocaketoppers.com. It turned out great, it’s FI and I as South Park characters.

We got a traditional bride and groom topper from a local bakery (: I’ve been visiting that bakery weekly with my family ever since I was 5 years old and I remember growing up always looking at this bride and groom topper they had on display.

I wished my whole life that I would get to have that cake topper and a couple months ago when I bought it I looked at the sticker on the bottom and it said ©1995! It was the EXACT same topper I had been dreaming about since I was little. I couldn’t believe it haha, I thought they just restocked the same one all the time, turns out no one ever bought it, even after 17 years!! (:

It looks similar to this one:

It took me months and months before I found a topper that I loved!! I finally found this one for $35:

I really wanted something romantic and kind of modern. The designer is Gina Freehill and she has other styles too.

Here is the company’s web site:

But I ended up buying it off of ebay.

I looked and looked for a while, but didn’t find anything that felt right. But then I remembered my parents’ and they dug it up, and I restored it. It’s my avatar picture (pre-restoration). Here’s what it looked like finished:

If you’re looking for something more old fashioned, see if a family member has one you could use. It was really special having this on our cake – we loved it.

@Woodstock:  Glad I could help! I absolutely love it! The writing on the side of her dress is a quote from Shakespeare. If you go to her site, I really wanted the one where the groom is holding the bride from behind but it was not going to available till a month after our wedding.
